Hi! I was 8 the last time I played this game.

But my mom used to play a whole bunch of it. CoH, and Star Wars Galaxies were the two games she used to play all the time. She was super excited about CoH potentially coming back online, and I was gonna try to get it set up for her.

 

I wish everyone the best of luck with this project. It's certainly gonna be a blast from the past starting this game up after 11 years.

You're not alone - my daughter had characters when she was 11 and played with my wife and I.

 

Now, she is 21 and has moved out of the house. But even still, she's excited about playing CoH again!

Although I already found out about the revived server but I also got a text from my Niece telling me about it. it's her first PC game that I let her play when she come over to visit when she was about 8. She will be graduating with a computer graphics degree from NYU next month and planning to work in the game industry.

This was the Only game I'd ever played (ok, so I really didn't MMO beyond GW before hand) where I would get to witness/hear of families being created and even children being born. This was one of the few places where I found an outlet for creativity. I can't draw worth crap, but I seem to be able to stor/RP pretty well. I hate things like Minecraft, but the base building was epic. It kept me from sinking in tons of money every month on stuff that would fizzle out or I'd get bored with. The only downside of it coming back is I have a ton of that kind of stuff on my consoles waiting to get finished. >.<

My oldest was a baby when I stopped playing. Now he's 7 and I'm probably going to make him an account :D
