srmalloy Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I was running a mission yesterday with a level 9 Elec/Elec Defender, and I'd cleared the ground floor with my Galvanic Sentinel providing, but when I went up the elevator to the next floor, the GS did not accompany me. It still showed as live in the pet window, and going back down, I found it waiting at the elevators. Going back up, I summoned another (replacing the first), then went down the elevator, an it would not follow me down, either. Is Galvanic Sentinel supposed to act like pets used to, or is this a bug?
Oubliette_Red Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I've see this happen with my own GS, but it's non consistent. So far it's only happened in one mission for me and when I re-summoned it the next time it traveled floor to floor without issue. Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx? Check out Michiyo's modder or Solerverse's thread. Got a punny character? You should share it.
srmalloy Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 It also happened just now in Aaron Thiery's last mission, in the Arachnos base map, when going through the round doors, then again at the elevator. Been pretty consistent for me.
ZorkNemesis Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I had it happen to me in the King's Row Mayhem mission earlier tonight. While I wasn't paying attention most of the mission, I did happen to notice the Sentinel didn't follow me down the elevator leading into the bank vault. It did, however, follow me back up to the lobby after I got the loot. It seems rather selective about what elevators it wants to use. Thankfully it's easy to recycle. Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.
srmalloy Posted April 5, 2020 Author Posted April 5, 2020 I'm certain it will be less of an issue later, but my character was level 6 when this happened, and she'd just summoned Galvanic Sentinel for the spawn right before the elevators, so it took time for the power to recharge so I could pull another one out. It's useful for dropping into a spawn to soak an alpha, though. I do think I'm going to be keeping Shield Drone for quite a long time, though; having it hovering nearby makes it possible to use a quick macro to get around the "targeted ally" limitation of Rejuvenating Circuit. It's kind of funny, though, to see a 200+ heal on the drone, when all she had was one Healing TO in the power.
