A random idea

(First, a short background story to set the stage for the idea.)

 

Dr. Plat was ecstatic! His dream had taken a dozen years and several fortunes to achieve, but now his success was but moments away. The gamma radiation had been mixed with the genetic enhancer chemicals, and seasoned with gamma rays to make it assume an energy form. Now that energy, which he called the Happy Hormones of Hero-slaying, was about to be zapped into his subjects. Soon he would have an unstoppable army of villainous platypuses! (Platypi? Platypillars? Whatever.)

 

"Chad, push the H3 lever to maximum power. It is time to unleash the Perilous Platy upon the world. Those fools at the book store will soon regret laughing at me for ordering the autographed copy of Tommy Wiseau's biography!"

 

Chad Cameron was miserable. He had tried to call in sick, but old man Plat hadn't allowed it. So he had to drag his sorry carcass all the way across town, just to push a lever. He had likely got the bug yesterday when he had to give sponge baths to each platypus. He shuddered at the thought. Shaking his head, he begrudgingly did his task.

 

"Alright, Doctor. You have full power. All you have to do is push the button."

 

Plat cackled, and jabbed his finger on the huge red button. At that very moment, Chad felt a huge sneeze coming. He jumped up so as to not contaminate the equipment, Unfortunately, he accidentally bumped into the nozzle which was going to shoot the H3 beam onto the animals. The nozzle shifted upwards, and the beam went out the skylight. Both men watched as the light disappeared from view. Long moments passed.

 

"Chad," the Doctor whispered. "Where did my H3 go?"

 

The lab assistant nervously studied the sensory instruments.

 

"Uhm… a dairy bar near Atlas Park. I think it's called Frozen Felonies."

 

"Chad?"

 

"Yes, Dr. Plat?"

 

"You're fired."

Alright, now that the story is out of the way, here is the idea, for anyone who is insane enough to still be reading and might actually be interested in trying this. We would be playing a group of people who got hit by an energy beam while eating dairy treats. As a result, we all became super people with a science origin, and decided to band together to right wrongs, protect innocents, yada yada yada. Here is the twist to the idea, though. Our hero types, power sets, and the powers themselves would all be chosen randomly. Roll dice, pick cards, close your eyes and point, whatever method you want to use to get random results. 

 

To keep things from getting too crazy, each of us would have no more than three or four power sets (whichever number the group agrees on). Also, randomness wouldn't seem to work with peacebringer, warshade, and arachnos characters, so those types aren't available to us. Of course, if the majority of the group doesn't want those restrictions, we can forget them.

 

Any interest? Any questions? I currently have no life to distract me, so I'm at your disposal. Or you can point at me and laugh, if you prefer.

Ok so if you are patient enough.... https://wheelofnames.com/ can handle all 2111 combinations, but you have to be patient while it loads them in even though the browser thinks the page has froze.
