Ahh, the things that come up in team chat.

 

How about this - Regardless of level, in ... oh, somewhere between 2500-10,000 Hellion kills (eh, that can be tweaked) - including greys - a special enhancement will drop. A Helli-o.

 

Probably not unique. Nothing but a proc - minor fire damage. Strong enough for a laugh, probably not strong enough to be worth farming for.

 

Why? *shrug* Just because. Hellion Golf can have an occasional perk besides seeing how far they fly, right? 🙂

 

(No, this is not particularly serious of a suggestion. Why do you ask?)

Honestly . . . why -not- make a Unique for each enemy faction?   Minor Negative Energy Proc for sufficient Skulls.  Minor Energy for Clockwork.  Minor Heal Proc from Ally-target Buffs for Longbow.

Don't rush it, of course.  Just one to three of these little things added here and there as time goes on.

 

Alternatively, if the time and energy is available, why not a whole Set for each enemy faction?

Didn't you used to be able to right-click an enemy and see a tab called 'salvage dropped'? Not sure if that's still a thing but at least something like that is in the system to make this easier to implement.. just add enhancements to that list.

Awesome idea. I was just thinking the same, reading teh OP.
