Draeth Darkstar
On 3/7/2021 at 3:58 PM, Number Six said: A few additional bits: There are some references in the translation files to a place called “The Fringe”. It was apparently scrapped early on so there isn’t much there aside from contact introduction text, but it appears to have been meant to be a higher-level hazard zone where the Praetorian military directly engaged the Devouring Earth to keep it at bay. Similarly, some other unused text strongly indicates that the Rift Enclosure was originally going to be a physical place accessible outside the going-to-primal-Earth mission. It looks like it was planned to be a high security complex made up of multiple buildings and serve as a mission hub for Praetorians, a la Portal Corps. There’s even text and badge art for an unused day job and accolade associated with it. That sounds cool as hell. 1 @Draeth Darkstar Virtue and Freedom Survivor
Darmian
Pie in the sky time! The above pre-vis material. I know they need a lot more work, a lot. But could they be used as a basis to build out a fourth "Praetoria Proper" zone? Cut and shaped, rendered and parts of the other three cloned into it? Yes, yes, a LOT of work, but hypothetically now? I've envisaged a "secret neighbourhood" that Cole and the Praetors have access to that the citizens normally don't! For one thing, where exactly IS Tyrant's Casino anyway? LOL. 1 AE SFMA Arcs: The Meteors (Arc id 42079) | Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One. (Arc id 26756) X | Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Two. (Arc id 26952) | Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Three. Darmian
And the current "final" Praetorian map is Last Bastion, which has incongruities as regards the rest of Praetoria, such as the remains of an overhead tram system as opposed to an Underground. So obviously not entirely contiguous with the rest of Praetoria. Now, there's a fairly obvious mechanical reason for that, since the map is actually a reskinned version of the large island from the drowned Boomtown map, but hey ho, world building. And the smaller forest based maps in Number Six's arc are interesting too. 1 AE SFMA Arcs: The Meteors (Arc id 42079) | Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One. MTeague
I'll take any additional Praetorian zones I can get. I'd also super super love it if the game could remember your Loyalist / Resistance stance even after going to Primal Earth. I wouldn't mind a bit of exploration of lore for the rest of Praetoria either.... like you see these tanker ships and planes in Neutropolis. Where do they go? How do they manage it on a world dominated by the Devouring Earth? You hear about the Syndicate running all these mega corporations.... Where? How did the other pockets of humanity survive in other places around the Praetorian Globe? I mean, okay, some of that, may be best explored via AE because limited man-hours is a thing. But I always did wish for more there. Roster: MTeague's characters: The Good, The Bad, and The Gold

See, BITS of the game does. Like if you do Mr. G's arc there's a point where you have to talk to a former IDF guy, and if you were Praetorian and followed a certain path then he just will not bargain with you, it's a fight. But the Mr. G arc is late game so... (I don't know if you've tried the Praetorian AE trilogy in my sig, @MTeague but if you do let me know. Trying to make it fit right in.) There's several real world big city undergrounds that become elevateds, or at least above ground at some point. And the First Ward trolley cars are different than the ones seen in the Underground as well, so that's a thing. 1 AE SFMA Arcs: The Meteors (Arc id 42079) | Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One.
