Patriotic Tanker ideas?

So I just started a patriotic themed SG, and have been on a kick with various ATs of that spectrum, so I'm thinking of doing a Inv/ but the secondary eludes me.

Not doing SS or EM thats been played out, maybe TW if something fits the theme but I don't think large swords is the route to go.

 

So I'm at an impasse on what I should go with.

Any ideas?

Is this SG about a specific country, or is this generic patriotism?

 

If it's about the United States, and you want Titan Weapons, you could use the railroad pike weapon customization and go with a tall tales theme (Casey Jones or John Henry inspired). War Mace with a sledgehammer would also fit this theme (going with Henry rather than Jones).

 

If it's generic patriotism, a firefighter would fit in with many countries' patriotic displays. You could take Battle Axe with the firefighter's axe customization.

 

If it's about the Etoille Islands, go with Dark Melee, obviously.

 

p.s. Today I learned that Pete Seeger's lyrics to "Casey Jones" were not the original lyrics and that Casey Jones was a real person.

I have an Inv/Street Justice on Reunion (JAWBRKR), and he's a blast.  Red and Blue...very patriotic, as well 🙂

You could play /Radiation or /Dark Melee and then color the powers with alternating Red, White and Blue.

 

That's what I did with my Invuln/EM tanker and it works pretty well.

You could amp up the patriotism and make yourself a Shield tank.  A well designed shield is a great looking accessory and if you're worried about looking too much like Captain America to hell with him, shields were around way longer than comic books.

 

As for assaults pretty much what fits your fancy, the mace of justice would look cool.  I know we have staff's but I do wish we had some kind of spear assault that could be used with shields, I'd love to make a badass Spartan.
