Ranged IO for Dominators

Low priority, but it would be nice.

 

Dominators take IO sets based on what recharge bonus they give.  For ranged attacks, Decimation is the only one that offers recharge time as a set bonus other then the purple set (Apocalypse).  Unfortunately, Decimation runs from levels 25-40.  Can we, maybe bump that up to 25 to 50 to help bump dominators damage some?

Decimation already gets quite close to the ED-cap anyway at the level-40 equivalent.  You'd be looking at a best case scenario of 3% more damage (less, if you have any damage buffs at all thanks to bonuses in your build, or teammates) in maybe a couple of powers at most.  Seems like it'd not be worth the effort.

I happened to be thinking about this yesterday while playing a lowbie Dom.  For every other AT I can find use for all 12 pieces of their 2 ATO sets.  Well, with the exception of Controllers.  The difference from controllers though is that damage is indeed "part of the job" for a Dom.  Not to highjack someone's suggestion but I'd love to see a new type of ATO for Doms that enhances damage, then it could go into any type of attack, including range like the OP requested (see not a total hijack).

It would be a huge uproar and so probably won't ever happen but honestly I think they should swap the recharge for damage in one of the ATO sets for each AT; then you'd have one for powers that need recharge (AoE controls) and one for powers that recharge fast enough already and you just want the set bonuses and some damage slotting. Whichever set you remove the recharge from gets an indirect buff to it's proc rate due to the PPM formula, and then you could open some Assault powers to take the Dominator ATOs and just trust the person to not be an idiot and slot the non-damaging set in Blaze.

Honestly, what I'd rather see is the AT fixed so that it isn't completely reliant on permadom just to be decently playable.
