Missing Recovery Toggles on Secondary Sets

So the only three sets that don’t have a recovery toggle are below. Will there me any chance that f these set getting a recovery toggle like the rest of the blaster secondary sets. I know these three sets get a PBAoE click power. The only thing I dislike is ...

1- it has to hit a living target to use them

2- the recharge for these powers are to long

If they are going to keep these kind of powers. Then please lower the recharge so they can be used more often, and also let them used on conscious and unconscious targets.

Thanks 😁

Drain Psyche was the original sustain power, built into the Mental Manipulation set from the start at a time when none of the others had one. It has the potential to be monstrously powerful as it can provide regeneration and recovery way in excess of any of the others. As such I really wouldn't want it changed to a toggle as it would gut a unique power.

Energy I could maybe get behind changing. I'm not a fan of the number of click buffs in the set, it always seems like fun until I actually play it and find I seem to spend as much time self buffing as actually attacking. I find it a bit annoying but I know it's a reasonably well regarded set by others so there might be pushback over changing it.

But Darkness? If it's not the most woefully underperforming manipulation set I don't know what is. Having a click sustain is far from its only problem but it certainly doesn't help. As part of a revamp to the whole set maybe they could do what they did with Electric and add sustain to the damage aura and then replace Touch of the Beyond with something more useful.

Conserve Power from Energy is a click that effectively acts like a sustain and needs no living targets to feed upon.  I’ll grant you that it’s a long recharge, however.

Mental's Drain Psyche has huge upside and is the most powerful sustain.

Energy's "click" sustain Energize is easily made perma and is just as good as other sustain powers.  In fact, it has the advantage of also having high Stun Protection.

As for Dark's sustain I think it is poop, & it should put into Death Shroud just like what was done with Electricity's Sustain Power.

I don't know much about mental and energy for blasters, so I won't really talk about those. I will, however, be talking a bit about Dark and why it is not as bad as some people seem to think.

First, theme. The whole theme with dark is that any powers that buff the player have to drain the enemies for them to work. This is seen with every dark power set in the game so it absolutely makes sense that it would need a "living" enemy to use. Just look at 'Soul Drain' the only 'Build Up' power that needs enemies to work (i think) so it makes sense that other player buffs also need enemies.

Second, dark has not ONE but TWO different powers that provide endurance.

Touch of the Beyond: provides a standard regen and rec bonus in line with the other sets. It has a 10 sec. recharge with 2 min. duration while also providing a -to hit and a fear to single targets.

Dark Consumption: on the other hand does have a long recharge of 3 min. but it also does some damage. Also, instead of adding +rec it instead gives (at base) 25% +end, that means if it hits 4 enemies you can go from zero end (sorta, it does cost 0.52 end to activate but that is almost zero) to 100% end. This can be considered more of an "oh crap" power for end then a true sustain, but since it already has a sustain in TotB, it doesn't really need this one to be used all that often. Also, I don't know, with that long recharge you could probably put some of the slower procs in it for some added damage.

So, in conclusion, yes, you have to click on live targets for the sustain to work (as fits the theme of dark) but you also get a really nice "oh crap" end power on top of that. Also, a lot of people who want to use this set at range may not want to take Death Shroud and shifting the sustain over to that would make it essentially mandatory to take.
