Outrider_01 Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Was looking at Illusion and looking at Flash, than I realized how weak in control and it couldn't really do containment except with the long recharge hold. Turning Flash into a stun would allow containment on AoE application instead of the single hold, and the animation would fit the concept better; like a flash bang. Problem I see is it might be me powerful for control, on top of having pets. Not LOL OP level, more like it can lock down a group with a stun than drop Spectral terror on another, and let the pets go to town. Greycat Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 You say it's weak in control... then want to take away the opportunity it has to stack (to do things like holding a boss and his group) by turning the AOE hold into a stun? That makes no sense. Not sure where you're getting the bit on containment, as ... it's a hold and would set up containment. When you say you were "looking at" illusion, were you *playing* it or just looking at numbers somewhere? Yes, AOE holds have some issues, generally in recharge time, acc, end cost or some combination of the three, and have since years before shutdown on live, but this honestly would make it worse. 1 Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? Uun Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 All the control sets have an AoE hold. With the exception of earth and dark (which summon a pseudo-pet) they're all exactly the same in duration, magnitude, recharge and accuracy. Uuniverse
Black Zot Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Hold is objectively a more powerful control effect than stun. It's also a much easier effect to stack up. Swapping holds for stuns would be nerfing the set.
