Any advice on building a fire/rad?

I'm currently levelling a fire/rad and I wanted some advice prior to finishing it.

Should I be focussing more on getting resists rather than def as the debuffs are so strong?  (the build I made is around 20 def to positional, is that enough?)

Mids seems glitched to me so I can't see if hasten/am would be perma.  It shows 126 recharge before activating AM but AM is doing nothing.

Would I be correct to assume that would be perma or does AM not affect hasten?

I've tried loading it onto the test server but the popmenu function isn't working for me right now and I don't want to go through every enhancement.

Not sure why mids isn't showing you the difference with hasten/AM off but you want both as close to perma as possible. Lots of ways to build them it will depend on your personal playstyle and i run 2 builds on mine, 1 with scorp for 45'ish % s/l defence and mostly teaming when i dont have to worry so much about endurance because someone will be running ageless and another with 45% ranged 75% s/l res with mu/power sink for soloing gm/av running hover. You won't get your def/res numbers til your high level and kitted out although you may be able to get the recharge in there. If your still levelling and haven't hit 50 i wouldn't worry about things like that, team mates will make up for a lot of whatevers missing, i don't try to aim for anything specific while low level theres not a lot of point your missing too many powers, can't slot purples/catlaysed bits from winter sets just enjoy the ride to 50 with teams and do your mids builds when you get there-its not like you'll be short on respecs if needed.

Yeah, mids seems a bit weird for me right now.

Showing -15.35 end recovery too.

I play on a low population server so I generally slot as I level it with attuned for stuff I don't need to +5.

It's not often there's is anything other than TF teams or 50 content so I mainly solo.

I think the two builds will probably be the way to go for me.  Thanks again.

     Is there a dot on the bar for AM?  The global effects of a power (such a AM's global recharge buff) won't show unless those are enabled properly, at least in the versions of Mids I'm familiar with prior to my internet being only via phone.

 

     Same for Hasten, should be a button on the bar

Yeah, it allows me to toggle it, just does nothing.  I upgraded recently so that could be it.

I'll have a look and see if I can find an older version and see if that works

And yes both Hasten and AM's global recharge buffs effect their own recharge ... takes about 175% global recharge (+100% recharge in power) to make Hasten perma.  Unfortunately don't recall off the top of my head how much is needed to perma AM.

     Unfortunately the 'I can only access the internet via phone' isn't a temporary issue.  Computer died and as far as I know Mids doesn't yet work on a phone.

PS:  Apparently your issues with AM is a known issue in Mids.  One of my fellow RO players has a thread on our forums of known issues/bugs with Mids.  This is one of them.

     Some random thoughts.    The Numina's special is a proc 120 meaning you'll need to use your Radiant Aura at least once in every 120 seconds to maintain the buff to recovery and regen.

     Enzyme Exposure HOs work well in Radiation Infection.  I'd love to find 1 or 2 more slots for RI.  And add more Enzyme Exposure HO's especially since the dead anchor continues to debuff.  Even against +4's that's still a very potent debuff (~15% to hit debuff and ~30% defdebuff)

     I'd think about moving 2 slots off Hover.  Enhancing the base defense of Hover is likely not worth it.  You'll get more out of 2 more Enzyme Exposures against a +4 AV in RI than those slots for defense enhancements in Hover.  

     Consider 6 slotting Gladiator's Armor (+2.5% range def) and swapping the Steadfast +3% for the Aegis Resist/Recharge in Charged Armor.

Wait, are you telling me there's a more efficient way to grant the enhancement than what I've been doing?

 

EDIT:  I Googled it and figured it out, can't believe I've been granting them manually all this time, but I'd never heard anyone mention exporting to test before.

I'll have a look into what I can do swapping sets around to try and get a couple more slots.  The issue I have with getting rid of Aegis is that I lose 6% s/l resist if they are swapped out.

Yeah, I only realised it a week or so ago when I was going to post a build.  Doing it the other way is such a pain.

Pretty sure i posted one of my builds somewhere a few pages back. Did some fiddling with yours and it looks more like the one i have. Hasten/AM perma, choking is a set mule but can be useful if you only run 1 build and like to team. Rain needs end red...soon as you fire it off you feel like half your endurance went with it. I definitely went mu i hate blue epics force picks before you can take a toggle armr:

Wow, that definitely looks good to me.

I do like Rain but I only took it as I ran out of slots for choking.

To be perfectly honest it never even occurred to me to check Mu as most people say to use charged armour and I didn't realise it was in both.

I've never really built with procs in mind, is the damage difference between being 90% damage enhanced and 3 procs massively noticeable?

Ummm with the proc stuff you'd need to answer one of the number crunchers although there's plenty of posts about it elsewhere, i just throw on infection and it dies 😛

I'll always pick the powers i want and then try to build it rather than saying to myself i need x defence and y resistance and mini/maxing stuff. If i can't hit the numbers i don't mind so much as long as the toon is fun to play.
