Galeden Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 (edited) Running a Crusader Resistance character. At level 14 I was rounding out the Imperial City portion of the story, only thing that was odd was that Vagabond wanted to introduce me to Wardog after the second to last mission. Regardless, I finished the arc making the Resistance Choice. However, when Calvin Scott contacted me, level 14, he instead told me that I would be assaulting a facility alongside Crow, to which the bust and betrayal missions happen and I just assume that this was some knowledge related to the warden line, and a little disappointed I continued on. I was given the "hold the front line" mission and finished that, reaching lvl 15, then Clavin gave me the standard two options of Crusader or Warden. But, this time it was "Meet Crow" or "Hunt Down Crow" with no Warden option. I took "Meet Crow" hoping this could be salvaged, but, turns out he's just missing from where the mission marker would indicate. Possibly relevant, Noble Savage was added to my Inactive contacts tab with an empty bar, still at acquaintance. So, any way to fix this? Edited January 3, 2022 by Galeden
TheZag Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Some of the praetorian contacts are a mess. You have to be very particular on the order you do certain missions to avoid some of the contacts being dead or otherwise unavailable. @Apparition made a guide for doing all praetorian content. If i find it before he sees this, i'll drop the link.
TheZag Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Here is the post with the link to the guide. Unfortunately it doesnt solve your current problem. I wonder if having a team leader with crow there would do anything since you are experiencing the world as whoever the team lead is. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/28604-native-praetorian-doing-all-gold-side-content/?do=findComment&comment=407950
Major_Decoy Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) Okay, the problem is that Calvin is a Crusader contact too and hitting level 14, he immediately starts with the Crusader story line and never introduces you to Aaron Walker. So if you're doing Warden stuff, you have to steadfastly ignore Calvin and use the "Find Contact" button to get to Aaron Walker. Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the problem. Yeah, He's gone now. Same trouble as if you were trying to do the Warden line after doing the Responsibility arc in Imperial City. Edited January 4, 2022 by Major_Decoy
ZorkNemesis Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) This happens frequently. Because Calvin Scott himself is a contact with a story arc, he will often offer the arc without introducing you to the proper contact (Crow in this case). If you do his story arc out of order Crow is killed part way through it and will not show up for the remainder of your stay in Praetoria, locking you out of the rest of the Crusader storyline until you reach Primal Earth and have access to Ouroboros. Calvin isn't supposed to offer his story arc right away but does anyway for some reason. Avoid taking it if it shows early and instead meet with Aaron Walker (the Warden contact) then call Calvin back after you've spoken to Aaron and he should send you to Crow. The best thing you can do at this point is to finish Calvin Scott's arc anyway, and if you're RPing in such a way that you refuse to do Warden missions, just run missions from Message Man that fit your theme until you can leave for Primal Earth or First Ward at 20. Strangely enough, Noble Savage shouldn't be a contact in mainline Praetoria and shouldn't be in your contacts menu until you've completed Anna Palatine's story arc in First Ward. In fact Savage isn't even present to speak to until that point. What he's doing in your contact window at your point of time is definitely not correct either.
