MsSmart Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 HI: Perhaps is my old age, but I have difficulty seeing those tiny buttons used to select broadcast, local, team, etc, without making the entire comm's panel (chat) larger. It would be nice if the chat buttons were about triple in size, so old handicapped people like me can see and click on them easier? Thank you Sue 2
biostem Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) Do they scale-up if you increase the size of the UI? I'm not at home to check ATM... Edited March 29, 2022 by biostem

I just tested, and while they *do* scale up, they seem to remain quite small, (see below for reference), so a better option would indeed be welcomed: Edited March 30, 2022 by biostem
biostem Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 On another note, you could create some binds or macros to start typing into the specific chat channels that you want...

If you right-click in the lower chat window, you get a menu with your available channels (all the names spelled out) plus a few additional commands that you can select a channel from. 1

I'm sure others have already suggest increasing the text size for that characters in the chat window. you don't have to use the little bubbles. Just left click on the current channel name, and it will give you a list of chat channels to choose from. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Shenanigunner Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 They are WAY too small. Here's a workaround that might help, though: Create a chat tab/window for each channel or group of channels you use. You can combine them (Local, Broadcast, Zone etc.) Assign one channel in each window as Default, the one you are most likely to post to. Set the chat button to the LAST one, A for Active. You can now respond to any chat window by clicking in it. If your "chat" window has Local, Broadcast, etc. and Local is set default, messages will go out on Local. You can create a Team window with all the mission channels and make Team default, for quick replies. Etc. This means you have to expand your chat window setup, and probably scale it a little, but it saves a huge amount of having to stop and select a chat window for replies.
