Welp, there goes the Galaxy

I have a character idea involving our poor lost Galaxy City. Does anybody have a general idea, in game continuity, how long ago it was destroyed?

It is the most recent big event.  So, like, a couple weeks ago? A month ago?

It was destroyed by Shivan meteors in Issue 21, which also introduced the First Ward and the Underground Trial.

Part of the idea in the game is supposed to be (although writers later in the game's life mostly ignored this rule) is that time progresses as your level does.  When you're level 1, the destruction of Galaxy City is happening right now.  Once your level 50 it was...sometime earlier in your career, though the exact flow of time is up to the player.

It was 2011. I also have a toon who emerged from the rubble of his live/work space several years after the event.

 

• Issue 21 was released to the Live Servers on September 13, 2011 for the VIP Headstart.
• Issue 21 was released to the Live Servers on September 27, 2011 for the public, including new free players.
