analysis paralysis halp. secondary for a SS brooot

I want a Super strength Broot. debating on the secondary.  

 

Shield-- all the Force feedback uptime should really help shield charge

Bio-- dmg aura also a few proc bombs 

Rad--- proc bombs and inherent +rech.   Rad concerns me i prefer def for survive. id like to run solo itfs. afraid without def. u get shredded.

Any of those three should be fine.   A Pair of Very lightly armored /RadA brutes won my ITF contest with considerably less armor than I would have ever put on a build.  But also keep in mind those were two extremely high quality drivers inside those brutes, so your mileage may vary significantly.

 

Armor Types (Armor Recommendations):

I recommend:  

Defense Armor: EnA (Any AT), Inv/ and SD/ as the Tank Alternatives.    

Resist Armor: RadA (Brutes and Tanks Only).  

Heal Armor: Bio (Any AT, paired with a Defensive Weapon).  

Offense Armor: SD, Bio

 

 

Defense Armors, Expanded and In Order of Durability: EnA (Any AT, Add Resists, Intermediate), SR (Advanced), SD (Intermediate), Inv (Easy). If you’re not picking EnA, I Recommend Inv. Inv is very easy to learn and drive, and very durable. Once you get your feet under you, then you can pick some of the more difficult to drive armors. My personal Favorites are EnA and SD, but I find myself driving EnA and Inv most often.

 

Notes:

• Stone can still be very good, I just very much dislike Stone. I would rank stone somewhere between Inv and SD for durability.
• EnA is not on tanks, if it ever is, I might be forced to move it up or down the ratings, depending on how it's ported.
• Most SR builds do not add the resists required to get it to the rating I give it. SR is also the most difficult to drive if built my way.
• Most SD builds also do not add the resists required to get to the rating I give it. I use all three SD build slots: Defense, Psi-Tank, Proc/Offense.
• Inv is more likely to be built to defensive spec, it's just kinda naturally built that way. It's also so easy to drive. It's pretty much recommends itself.

 

 

Heal: Regen

Heal/Defense/Resist: Bio, Will

MRA: Nin, SR,

MRA/Res: SD,

Resist: DA, ElA, FA, Rad,

SLE: EnA, Ice

SLE/Res: Inv, Stone

SLE/Vec: Ice,

Psionic (in order): Dark, ELA, WP, Rad

I had an SS/EA back on live and have an SS/Bio now. I knew more about building a character (and had the resources to do so) on the SS/Bio but I think either would be really good (well, know SS/Bio is since I play it now).

excellent feedback everyone, i decided to go with BIO as im more familiar how to slot one. i also really wanted a damage aura.  also two abilities in bio offer proc bombs. so i can play aorund with it i can build as full glass cannon or go more towards defensive. either way bio has me covered in both directions.  thanks for the feedback. ill return to this post at somepoint with a build. i havent built it yet. ill be sure to get some feeedback.

The thing about SS/EA is that with EA solving all your endurance needs and boosting recharge while you're standing in a crowd, you could pretty easily achieve and sustain being in perma-Hasten. Darn, I'm going to talk myself into building it at this rate.

 

My SS/Bio (who serves as my avatar) was targeted at his v2 build but I got to v4 before getting all the IOs bought so he's in a weird (though quite functional) in-between place.  I'll attach v6 which is the current target he's not far from.

I didn't think I would like it, but I have a lot of fun with my SS/Elec Brute.  It's a 'roomy' build because there's skippable stuff on both sides, and it's sturdier than I expected.

I remember liking my SS/Elec brute. SS puts out solid single target damage once you're double stacking rage and slamming ko blows left and right.
