Solo ITF Completion With Time/Fire/Dark Defender: The TankFender

This time, a solo ITF completion with a Defender. Standard +0/X8 settings. Nothing special, because I'm not special. 

 

Using a modified and fully boosted synthesis of several posted builds, including two of @Linea's Defender builds (which are built to be quite sturdy). I took a few slightly different vectors, and managed to wind up with a soft-capped DEF and RES combo, 1522 base Health, and perma-everything, including a capped 400% damage (using Mid's scale). Truly, a TankFender. 

 

Random, liberal use of some P2W powers to expedite the process. I'm not even daring to attempt a run at +4/8 using @Werner Rules.  

 

As always, these are clean runs with no deaths tolerated. Of particular note, this t00n was min-maxed with full +5 boosts wherever possible, running almost all of the major temp powers (including, at times, the Wedding Band), the main four accolades in effect, and all Incarnate powers at Tier 3. Not surprisingly, I didn't have to use Inspirations, save for being lazy a time or two.  

 

Tactics/Strategy: Directly target the mobs surrounding the chicks on the first map. Upon exiting that map, directly fly up and over to the Sybil and engage the mobs around her. Doing this directly sometimes fools the encounter logic, causing the Kheldian ambush to fail. On the final maps, fly to the AVs immediately, and wipe them out. Then, proceed in reverse to clear the objects. You know the rest of the minutiae here.  

 

There was not a single case of DDR. I used Mystic Flight the entire time and remained in hover mode. There was virtually no down time on button pattern sequencing. All totally smooth the whole run. 

 

This is an extremely powerful and durable character, even if not at Tier 4 with all Incarnate Powers, or armed with all possible Accolades and Temp Powers. If you want to be a TankFender, contribute to any team with Buffs/Debuffs/Damage, or solo almost all content, I would suggest that this AT and build would fit that bill.  

 

Consider the ATs I have remaining with which to run this TF, it's only going to get harder from this point onward.

Yeah, if you avoid moving too far forward, you avoid triggering the Kheldian ambush. I'm not sure the exact area that triggers it, but if I'm trying for a fast time I stay back behind her and bring the enemies to me. Normally I'm doing a clear most and intentionally trigger the seafood buffet.

Yes, do not move, not even one step further past the Sybil.   If the altar is behind you, she should always be in front of you, not an inch past her, not even on her.
