My toon here is dusty as hell.  Currently have an old very cheap build playing in game.  It honestly works totally fine, just looking to update it.  No budget at all.  Not married to incarnate alpha choice either.  Please let me know what you think.

When it comes to SS, I will always try to build for as much offense as possible, then try to scrounge up other tricks to try and keep myself safe. Basically, I would be using more clicks to achieve the same amount of mitigation as you, but I'd be putting out more damage.

Just tried a similar build to first one I posted just with haymaker instead of cross punch.  Everything is great aside from end which is unmanagable with Agility.  Trying same build just with cardiac to see how that goes.  Need to further test. Rage crash every minute and rage and hasten crash every two is a lot.

I have some older builds that may give you some ideas.

 

You will need to swap jab with punch and you can swap Taunt with Darkest night if you prefer. You can also throw another proc in KB if you prefer also.

 

This one has some offensive power whilst still being fairly tough.

Lol.  Thanks.  Hurl was responsible for killing a lot of surgeons, unfortunately.  I love the one-handed animation with shield too.  Even more bad-ass if you ask me.  

 

(also, haven't respec'd again yet, but build is vastly the same.)

Last reply to my own thread then I'll quit.  Thanks again for feedback.  

 

One huge advantage to proc'n out KO Blow is that when for aren't playing close attention and it fires during rage crash, it still does fairly decent damage.  It isn't great, of course.  But the procs help make it still actually hit some.  And one being the plus recharge helps regardless of the damage it does.  

 

I've played around with the final build above.  It is really solid.  End is totally manageable.  Even messed around running focused accuracy on 54 ITF and it was fine then.  Probably not infinitely susustainable without outside buffs though, but didn't test it.  

 

I know people shit on it, and the animation is long, but hurl is just a lot of fun on a shield toon.  Check the animation out sometime one handed.  It is awesome.  In final build I could switch it for laser beam eyes but didn't just cause of the animation.  Having at least one ranged attack on a tank comes in handly a whole lot and shouldn't be overlooked.  Surgeons, blue ground shit in Apex, and I'm sure other stuff.

It's a shame we don't have the dominators version of Hurl Boulder. 1.5 second animation compared to 2.5. Hurl would make it into more builds if it was.

One huge advantage to proc'n out KO Blow is that when for aren't playing close attention and it fires during rage crash, it still does fairly decent damage.  It isn't great, of course.  But the procs help make it still actually hit some.  And one being the plus recharge helps regardless of the damage it does.  

 

I've played around with the final build above.  It is really solid.  End is totally manageable.  Even messed around running focused accuracy on 54 ITF and it was fine then.  Probably not infinitely susustainable without outside buffs though, but didn't test it.  

 

I know people shit on it, and the animation is long, but hurl is just a lot of fun on a shield toon.  Check the animation out sometime one handed.  It is awesome.  In final build I could switch it for laser beam eyes but didn't just cause of the animation.  Having at least one ranged attack on a tank comes in handly a whole lot and shouldn't be overlooked.  Surgeons, blue ground shit in Apex, and I'm sure other stuff.  

You’re right. I dusted off and respec’d my Shield/SS Tanker… the one handed animation with Hurl Boulder is pretty sweet.

 

Also, Shield Charge + Foot Stomp = The Business.
