Going out of my mind with Island Rum not starting

Running two Macs with identical everything (MacOS Ventura, quad-core intel i7, etc...), bought at the same time, both completely updated.   One will run Island Rum with absolutely no problems whatsoever.  The other does the launch, shows the green checkmark, then does not start.  

 

Tried following the install instructions at:  https://islandrum.eekstudio.com.  Same result.

Tried following the in-depth instructions at:  

 

bupkis.  

 

there was another one on the forums I tried (instructed to load Quartz and something else....lost the tab....)

 

couple of issues I have so far identified:

 

1.  I hate Macs.

2.  I hate Macs.

3.  I hate Macs.......seeing a pattern here?

 

I need someone with more brain cells that I have for this stuff to tell me exactly what I need to load on this damn thing.

I think it’s cos IR isn’t as supported now? Most of it has been moved to the HC launcher?

Pull that bandaid off now and switch over to the launcher.

Aye I’d recommend it. I was on IR for ages and finally got the HC launcher going. It took a funny turn though cos for some reason my ISP blocks Wine? Very weird

Not sure how you got to that one first, but try this one instead:

 

 

Note: I still have only VMs to play with when it comes to Ventura as I've held back to Monterey for now (I hate the Settings app for one).
