Make long-range teleport points a P2W buyable?

I thought that was disabled?

/enterbasefrompasscode was restricted to where you can use it.  It only works within a short distance of a base portal or from within a base (so you can visit different bases) unless you use LRT or Base TP.

The travel powers (LRT, Base TP) had 10s cast times added in PVP zones to halt shenanigans.

There is some merit to the idea of having a second option in P2W, say for 10 mil inf, that unlocks all the locations as well as giving you the power. Unfortunately, to work optimally that would necessitate adding a 9th exploration badge (that you can't find normally) to each zone exclusively for association with this unlock, since you wouldn't want to gain an exploration badge you haven't found on the character.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be opposed to a character specific unlock in P2W that gives that character the exploration badges found by other characters on the account. Of course the downside to that is they should probably come without associated XP. That might be difficult to manage.

Your route works if all you're after are the exploration badges, but that means you have to go around again for the history plaques. I don't do it as deliberately, but I aim to get everything as I go. Come out of the tutorial and get missions from Matthew Habashy, Azuria, and Rick Davies, getting the inside badges in the process. Exit, get the badges on the roof and the globe, then do Habashy's mission, which completes Azuria's as well. Turn them in and get more, then Habashy's mission again, which takes me to the bridge over the lake and the Digger plaque. Turn that in for another, and get the badge in front of Henry Peter Wong and the Pupil plaque NW of him, then to Icon for a couple of costume slots filled. West to the Hellion safe house, then the following mission. Pick Sandra Costel as my new contact, grab exploration badge 1 on my way to her, then do her missions, picking up badge 2 when I get the Skulls in the NE, then plaque 2 as I investigate the document drops, catch the redirection on the clockwork piece for Davies before running oversight down in the SE, then the Croatoa plaque in the S as I defeat more Skulls, then the mission that takes me under the zone and drops me at Aaron Thierry. Get his first mission, train with BAB, then back for plaques 3 and 4 and the badge in the Vanguard building. That gets me the zone accolade and LRT. Finish Azuria's and Davies' missions at +2 so they're not badly outleveled, get their introductions, and do Thierry's first three missions, which puts me right by plaque 5, which is everything in the zone.

I should have hit 6, where I normally get a travel power, while finishing Azuria and Davies;  if I didn't get an Ouro portal before, I'll find one after finishing Thierry's first three missions, and then sweep Echo:Galaxy and Echo:Atlas for the badges and plaques. All of this isn't as efficient if all you're after is unlocking LRT, but it works for me.

If I haven't picked up the Ouro portal before hitting the Edge of Chaos exploration badge, I just pop into RV since it's no longer level restricted and get it that way.

And that is to the point of the thread.

Matthew Habashy

I never do Habashy's mission. I don't enjoy his arc at all.

Not as disgustingly drivel as Twinshot, not far from that mark in my book.

I don't bother getting the history plaques.

I'm just unlocking the all the exploration badges in Atlas to get the Atlas Tour Guide in order to unlock the Long Range Teleporter ... before reaching level 2 most of the time.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

While getting all the explore badges in Atlas is the point to get the LRTP, a lot of people pickup the history badges in Atlas to get those out of the way and you don't have to think later if you got them.

I tend to go for all the explore and history in

Atlas, Boomtown, Bricks, Echo: DA, Echo: Galaxy, Founders, IP, Kings Row, Perez Park, Skyway, Steel Canyon, Talos, and Terra Volta

That covers all the stat accolade requirements fort explore badges or history.  It's more than needed, but lets you mark those zones as "done"

I'm not sure how you gauge the "a lot of people". Perhaps that might be better worded "many of the players that I interact with in game" possibly?

I don't have to think about it at all.

I'm not concerned with non-day-job Accolades nor am I a badge hunter. I don't care about all the explore badges in every zone or even having an explore badge in every zone for that matter. I get badges mostly for day jobs and an odd one here or there if I'm looking for a specific badge name for a character based on character conception.

People play the game differently.

And as someone who plays it different than you, I gave my reasons and they are free to do whatever they want, but if they want the accolades, then that may help.

Yes, you did.

My point goes back to the one that you replied about me pointing out that information given by another player was not related to information that the original poster was looking for.

The information about the Accolades would be far more useful in a thread about Accolades (which probably already exist). You could even provide a map get them all quickly. It didn't take me that long to generate the map that I provided.

This sub-discussion started because of this ...

Of course, because that is the whole point of the thread and not about any other badges of Accolades.

I'm not trying to argue.

I felt it was kind of a snide shot at my post that was on point to what the original poster was asking about when they started the thread.

They didn't want to have to get all the exploration badges in all the zones in order to use the Long Range Teleporter. I'm unsure where that lead people to think that they would want to go running around clicking a bunch of other stuff in zones to unlock Accolades in general.
