Ellyz
Announcing Costume HQ! https://discord.com/invite/pgsd6tHUT3 Costume HQ is a new and quickly growing discord group for all things costumes! This group hosts costume contests, has spaces to discuss and share costumes, or even to request help with your character. Have you seen a great costume out in the wild? We have a space for that too! A handy calendar and reminder bot are also in place for upcoming costume contests so you don't forget to enter. Most recently, a Challenge of the Week section and a Post My Archenemy section have been added. In Challenge of the Week creators are given a different costume creation challenge to work on each week (our first challenge was to create a costume around the crown of horns). In Post My Archenemy you can post your character for people to respond with a character that they imagine would be their archenemy! In the future, we hope to continue adding fun things like this, and we welcome any ideas to improve the discord. Whether you just want a way to keep track of costume contests, are looking for some costume help, want to share your work, are looking for some additional contests, or just want to see some awesome costumes, all are welcome! We look forward to continuing our growth and continuing to support this awesome costuming community together!
Greycat
Not sure I'd join, but something to consider for your costume challenges (on off weeks if someone doesn't have ideas) - For a while there were color palette contests run (well, challenges, not contests, no prizes other than "look at these!") on live. I did them for a bit as well - and finding a good palette can be challenging itself - but just throwing out a 3-4 color palette and giving folks X time to come up with something is surprisingly fun. (Think I used to use Kuler, but the site was either down or paid last time I checked... some time ago. Other sites like colorkit.co exist, though. ) (In other words, doing something like "Match this as best you can and see what you can do with it!" and just giving these colors to work with: ) 3 Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? Game Master GM_GooglyMoogly Posted August 22 Game Master Share Posted August 22 Good luck with your costuming! I moved your post into the Art and Multimedia subforum because that's where other costume threads (no pun intended) are.
Ellyz
@GM_GooglyMoogly thank you! I wasn't sure where to post this but I regularly attend the amazing Friday Fashion Contests and I saw that was pinned to general. I just assumed that's where I should post because we hold weekly contests as well and I wanted to make sure people knew about the contests.
Ellyz
@GreycatThank you for sharing that. I love that as a challenge of the week idea 🙂. Our challenge of the week is just for fun as well. The look with the most unique user reactions gets to pick the challenge for the next week and we have a spot to display the challenge winners of each week just in case people want to go back and view those.
