I was kind of hoping someone would post something in here. And while it's way past the date you asked for it, today was the day I finally got around to making my own. 

I do have an issue with this build. The endurance management while leveling is going to be a problem. I just don't see a way around it, other than doing without certain fight pool toggles, which would leave me with a debt and completing defeats problem. 

I typically do not post a build without playing it to 50 outside of PL/Farming. But, why not - I've provided the disclaimer that I've no experience in game with this build yet. I'm ignorant of much of what MA does. But, it is a starting point.

Put toroidal bubble on auto, that'll fix almost any end issues you have when all the toggles are running (you have it off here) and hit power of the depths whenever it recharges for the extra endurance. I've started running toroidal with some resist pieces and a single boosted end mod and its been just about enough even on corrs i run with fighting/leadership/leaping/patron powers. You can also toss a theft proc in brine.

 

I don't have any experience running /marine with ice blast yet so i can't help a lot there but i really like running them with mu mastery, the new energize and power sink if you need it are more than i ever have to run but i take them in case of sappers/freaks and other end drainers. You get a double absorb from barrier reef and power of the depths so i find myself leaning towards higher resist builds over defensive ones. 

 

Maybe something like this. Some random positioning of slots and sets in ice blast/ice storm/shoal rush, just tossing in the AT set for recharge bonuses. I like having some kb prot and slow res.

I have already changed my posted build maybe 4 times in the past 24 hours. As I'm leveling up, I'm noticing how the value of the ATOs and IOs are now getting stronger, making the 4 slots in (really only 3 that actually boost end) in stamina are too many. I should probably wait until 30 or 40 or even 50 to use ATOs, but some of those bonuses seem very nice to me. So, I tend to use them when I can. (and my base is crammed full, and I'm still trying to clear out older characters that I'm confident I'll never play again) Look for some pretty good IOs to go on sale CHEAP in the weeks ahead. Well, cheap compared to prices 18 months ago, lol. 

Whitecap should have 6 slots, but not with sets, but with damage procs. Or at least 3 of a set and 3 damage procs. Or at least, that's where my mind is at. 
This is actually one of the more interesting parts of the game right now, finding that balance between dps and res/def. It's going to be different for everyone because of differences in playstyles and skill and content. And other factors. At least, that's my opinion so far.

So, looking at the build you shared, thanks again - I am confused about something. 
Brine, you have a couple of HO-s for acc/heal. This is a debuff. Not sure how slotting for a heal is going to reduce HP on an npc. Doesn't seem like it would do much good. I mean, it's takes only those kinds of sets, so I guess it works in ...reverse? Weird, but not your creation, lol. 

Numbers wise, your build looks very compelling, a lot better than the trash I put up.

Brine does -MaxHP, slotting it for heal increases that amount.

What this team needs is more Defenders

Yeah, but it's odd. I don't think we have many powers that work this way, if any, besides brine. I kind of backed into figuring that out based on the type of set it takes. (just the one kind, accurate healing) 

It's a really interesting powerset. I can tell a lot of thought and creativity have gone into it - and it looks like they heeded some feedback from the patch notes, too.

Yes, I can't think of any other power (other than that one interface) that does -MaxHP, so nothing else to really compare it to.

I treat and think of brine in the same way that i think of a power like frostwork. The more green io's i toss in frostwork the more hp i'll be adding to a team mate. The more green io's i toss in brine the more i will lower a targets hp. I originally started slotting it with 4 nictus to max out the heal, i think at lvl 50 your hitting a target with it and lowering its hp by 300 points+ each time and you can stack it (the -hp part at least, i'm not sure the -res part also stacks) . I looked over other posted builds and saw the chloroplast slotting and the theft proc and just decided to give it a go. I prefer the 4 nictus where i can, the bonuses are more helpful, when your only source of healing is a puny cone even the tiniest heal bonus helps, but having a theft proc in can sort out minor end issues so its a bit of a toss up. And completely dependent on the number of slots your willing to allocate to the power. Its most useful vs hard targets when your solo, i have alts that skipped it altogether that i pretty much only team with and i haven't missed it.....much. When you find yourself alone and the teams run off and there's a purple eb in front of you-you'll be glad you have it, that goes double when soloing av/gm's. Accuracy and healing in brine go a long way at that point.

Bit of a thread necro, but I'm levelling a Ice/Marine Corruptor myself and spotted this comment, which I think I can help with.
You can use rotating bind files to automate more than one power being on auto.

Example from my own (all saved in settings/live/binds with the indicated filename). In practice this will swap Hasten and Toroidal Bubble as the auto power whenever you move/jump/fly down with CTRL, activate any of your powers, click either mouse button or use mouse thumb buttons to trigger things. I usually have my alt tray set-up with a build up/aim power in slot 1, healing or utility in slot 2, then shift+thumb buttons follow suit with another damage buff in slot 3 and another heal/utility (usually an end heal etc.) in slot 4.

While I appreciate the tip, for this guy, that's taking things way too far. It's just too convoluted for me to wrap my head around. If the character were the only character I played, I could see taking the trouble. But, I tend to level them up, and then park them, and start on something new. For several months, I'd even thought of playing just a few characters, and did delete almost 70 level 50 characters, but man, that was tedious work. 

I fully understand why we can't auto-fire more than one power. Although, it would be nice if Hasten were just a built-in auto power in the first place.

Yup, I am leveling mine up right now and I don't get the clamor around marine solving your end problems with Torrential (maybe I read wrong). At level 29 and I'm only running 2 leadership toggles and Torrential is barely keeping my end above 0 and I haven't even picked up shifting tides yet. I'm hoping the max end provided by power of depth is going to provide a bit more cushion to run that toggle.

 

I started putting Torrential on auto but it's tedious to have whatever you are doing interrupted every 17 seconds. I went soul mastery for powerboost, there's synergy there with torrential, reef and power of depths, and that means I don't have to invest as much into those powers.

 

I went with a triple hold build, power boost also helps with hold duration since I fully procced all the holds

@Nemu Toroidal's end benefit isn't so much about slotting it with end enhancement (give it resist slotting love instead!), but instead the baseline end bonus it provides without enhancement, and the additional spot for a performance shifter proc.

 

The performance shifter has a chance of going off on cast, giving you a larger swing of end injection. I wouldn't spam it on cooldown, but it's a nice bonus to keep you stable. A 20 end injection every 20 seconds or so is pretty strong - even better that your whole team gets it! If you don't need it at a given time, just wait to rebuff. The main component is the +res after all. Focus on keeping that up. Otherwise, recovery returns are better invested in stamina slots.

 

Power of the Depths indeed makes a very big difference at later levels as well. Few sets provide +end in such quantities, and it synergizes well with your existing recovery bonuses, making them stronger.

 

Some broad input on the build:

  • Personal preference - Soothing Wave is much more useful than Shoal Rush. Shoal is a puny power for procs. The -def is decent enough, but missable, and you have other ways to start your frenzy (whitecap into shifting tides mainly). Soothing wave heals both you and your mates, and has a healthy -damage debuff component. It fills the gaps in your defenses nicely.
  • Power of the Depths could use some love. Its baseline power for +end is pretty strong already. I recommend maxing out its Healing enhancement and recharge. If relying purely on Power Boost to beef it up, some local recharge would be good as a baseline.
  • White cap is begging for more proc love. You'll be cycling it so much more than soul drain - I would recommend the armageddon proc at least in white cap.

I will have to go through a few build iterations with him. It's my first time with Marine so there are some powers I'm feeling out. I am a bit enamored with the ice mistral set and that created a bias that resulted in some inefficient slotting.

 

This is going to be v2 of the build. It's a tight build, and now I have 3 extra sets of ice mistrals for my next slow-mageddon project, whenever I find a good concept and fit for it.

It really isn't. It's as simple as saving those four files to your settings/live/binds subfolder and typing /bindloadfile "binds\TBH1.txt" in chat. After that everything is automatic.

Welcome! If you want a reference point for slotting ideas, here's a Marine/Seismic defender I spooled up recently in a thread.

I haven't even found the performance shifter proc necessary in Toroidal on my own iterations. Even my extra thirsty Thugs/Marine MM gets along nicely using his end-guzzling attacks. Once you get Depths and some of your other end support slots rounded out, I think you'll find the same on your corruptor.

 

I really like your idea of using the ATO +end proc in Shifting tides! I'm not 100% certain how it will work in practice. I know gaussian in shifting tides works sort of like in tactics (ie new proc chance to self-buff you per target hit/10 seconds). I would guess the ATO proc might work the same way, and pop frequent +end aura bursts centered on you? I'm not sure, but it may be sneakily good in practice. Would love to hear how it works when you try. If it works really well, you'll be absolutely swimming in blue - very in theme!

The behavior with Guassian is what drove the thought process, I will know in 3 more levels (even though I can do this on brainstorm right meow, I don't wanna) 😁

 

I do want to make sure that the build can exemp at all levels and I have no doubt that my end woes are going to be drastically lessened when I get power of depths and even more so once I get power boost and Alpha incarnate. My experience at lower levels, especially with a few procced attacks with no end red, tells me that I might still need the pshifter or some sort of endurance boost for lowbie content. Time will tell once I complete my build and take it for a few lowbie content runs.
