your proposal was so well written, but (to me), lacked that fundamental WHY?   and dropping any content in our (relatively small) world is always a questionable choice.  if the choices on there were increased to 5 with a clue as to what map they are on (hint, i can almost always guess...) then that would be nice.  But it is asking for someone to do work when they might be making a new powerset instead...

Fair, It's fine, I have a habit of getting defensive quickly these days. Honestly that would be a solid compromise if there was some way to confirm what type of map the mission takes place on before selecting it. Actually I think I'll mention that in the original post, its a very good compromise, everyone wins.

 

On the note of dev time, yeah that's sorta the tradeoff of implementing anything I personally think its worth the development time, but I trust the devs to decide on what should or should not take their time, if they feel the system is fine as is and/or not worth the dev time to update, it is what it is.

But taking them out would remove the utterly irreplaceable time they waste going to the mission entrance, entering, seeing that it's a cave mission, then exiting and abandoning the mission to get a new one. And this would, of course, be only a preface to going through every mission in the game to make sure they're not using the cave map tileset or one of its analogs -- for example, all of the Council maps would have to be redone, since they're based on the cave tileset with additional structures added -- and all to satisfy their distaste for the cave map tileset.

I just keep thinking… if you seriously love radios that much cant you tell which ones are probably caves?  I sure can on Red papers…

You never know.  This might just be that universe in the multiverse.

 

Then again, our universe's great claim to uniqueness might be as the only universe where the young eat Tide pods while recording it for posterity they may never live to create.
