Toon creation date

On the semi recent option to hide when your toon was created... I'm glad it was done, because I like choices, but, I would like to suggest that the default be changed to SHOW vice not show. I think that most people do not care if others see their toons creation date, but others (like myself) do find it mildly interesting to see the date. Leave it as an option, but flip the default.

I would personally prefer it the way it is, I think in the other topic where this was brought up people were bringing up how it's better to turn on information you want to show rather then have to turn it off. Like with all things that share information about you (Granted this is very small compared to things like real names) It is better off by default and turned on by people who want to share that information about themselves 💛 Rather then most people not knowing you can turn it off

nah, the default should always be to show less and if there is an option to show more it should always be off to start. this is obvious, because while maybe You don't care someone else might and You can just click yes to show but i can't un-see information someone would have preferred to withhold from me for any reason.

 

also? it already is this way. why ask for it to be changed when You can simply click the yes option right now for yourself? why should we change from the better option to the objectively worse one when You can fix your own issue so much more easily?

It's okay that my opinion is different. I just have a ton of characters, so while the selection to show it is easy, it's a lot of "easy" things to do. 

I suppose there are other folks where the reverse would also be a lot of "easy" things to do. 
I am also in the minority in not really grasping why other than people making silly judgements about your character, why keeping it a secret is a thing. But, again, why is showing it a thing for me? I guess because a lot of my characters are from when HC opened the doors. Other than that...not a thing. 

It's really not a big deal. There are so many other things that I'd change before this, I promise. 

Man...if I could be king for a day...I don't think anything in this game would get changed. I'd be busy working on our economic policies, and some social policies, too!

That said. Generally setting something that reveals information to "not show" rather than "show" is preferable as a default. Let people decide to show what they want to. I wouldn't argue with - probably a slash command - letting you set something as the default or affecting all your characters with your choice, granted.
