Gobbledygook
Hiya all. My dedicated weekly group has finally decided we will be starting next weekend. I have a character concept that calls for a Scarlet Spider/Red hood vibe. I was originally thinking of doing this as an Elec Melee, but decided I would run that as a separate toon, for when I just want to solo. So, with the introductions out of the way, here's the main question. Which armor set would you choose between /EA, /SR, or /Nin? Keep in mind that this isn't an unlimited budget build. I won't have any purples or winter sets most likely, and I'm fine with using pool/epics and Incarnate powers to shore up short comings of the armor itself. Triumphant
Really depends on whether you're more devoted to performance or concept (judging from your post, I'm assuming concept is king here, though) and which of the two characters powers your thinking of adapting to your own character. They both have red costumes, of course, but the powers are very different. Both SR and Ninjitsu seem like good choices from a thematic perspective, though.
Ringo
Yeah, thematically Scarlet Spider is Super Reflexes and Red Hood is Ninjitsu, though 90s Ben Reilly had impact webbing and stingers which gave him a bit more of an arsenal beyond just the webshooters For the feel of an anti-hero stalker I'd probably go Street Justice/Ninjitsu - once past the webs/guns both characters are pretty flashy hand-to-hand fighters who aren't above tilting the odds by throwing caltrops or blinding powder
