Similar story for me, my friend... and I totally hear you on fixing stuff from years ago. Past me and present me have very different opinions on what "good enough" means.

i make the changes last minute on the same day, also its a public event so in case the base has already been judged you are free to show up, else it might be unfair if you show up and judge a base that is in use at the time
