Display Name Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Can the final portal to confront Botis in the final mish of Alexander's arc be a *wee* bit more obvious? I thought that the portal to confront him was just another dead portal and completely ignored it! There was no energy "door" so I just ignored it and wandered aimlessly for an hour! Finally, a very gracious player showed me that the dead portal was actually live! Give it a red shade, maybe? Like what was experienced in the previous mish involving Botis? 2 @Super Whatsit Superbase passcode (Excelsior) is "passcode-6475" It's all a Nemesis plot. But not everything is a Nemesis plot!
Psyonico Posted Thursday at 03:33 AM Posted Thursday at 03:33 AM Yeah, the portal needs to be fixed, you can use it, but there’s no indication that it’s an active portal. Also: I want to know more about this radio announcer in the first mission of the arc! So far this is the only new arc I’ve run and reading his stuff makes me want more detail on what’s going on with the Warriors 1 What this team needs is more Defenders

My buddy and I did exactly the same thing! If it were the only portal in the room I probably would have tried it but being among multiple ruined portals it looked to be just one more so we backtracked over the whole mission for quite a while until my buddy finally tried it on our third trip back to that room. 1 SPOON!
Developer The Caretaker Posted Thursday at 01:33 PM Developer Posted Thursday at 01:33 PM Hey! I'm pretty sure I fixed this for Headhunter in beta. My data! There comes a time in which all stories must come to an end. It's a shame, hero, that you and your people aren't writing the end of yours. We've taken it upon ourselves to be the author of this universe's story, and your chapter will be added to the ever-growing story of how we dictated the path for all life.

How did you not try it? There comes a time in which all stories must come to an end. It's a shame, hero, that you and your people aren't writing the end of yours. How did you not try it? Because it appeared to be a room full of ruined portals with no indication that any of them were active. Its the difference between this: and this: Why would I expect the first one would do anything? The game has shown us time and again that a lit up portal goes someplace and one that is not lit up does nothing. Edited Thursday at 02:47 PM by mistagoat spelling is hard 2 SPOON!
Developer The Caretaker Posted Thursday at 03:44 PM Developer Posted Thursday at 03:44 PM Fair enough, but I really thought the context of "this hole isn't plugged" would warrant a try. I'm going to go back and look though, because I was fairly sure I lit up this portal per feedback and maybe that data didn't merge in. There comes a time in which all stories must come to an end. Zhym Posted Friday at 04:31 AM Posted Friday at 04:31 AM I'm just gonna add another anecdata point that I also thought that portal was inactive and spent a lot of time looking around for an active portal. 1
tidge Posted Friday at 11:15 AM Posted Friday at 11:15 AM A comment from someone has done a lot of consumer usability studies: When the users can't figure out the thing that was obvious to the engineer, its not a problem with the users. 1 1 1 1
