Slap down Brilliant Barrage and by that time the fight is pretty much over once everyone moves in. I ended up not taking many of the trick arrow powers. Just Flash, Glue, Poison and Oil Slick. You don't really NEED that many. It is frantically fun running a Yin at +4 this way.

lightpunch Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I'm running a pyro/traps troller, in the low 20s currently but lots of fun. Controllers are my home AT so part of the reason I took traps was to not repeat sets among my large roster of controllers (so far, only repeated DA but it's so good can you blame me). Conceptually, she's an aged up version of my tech genius FF/sonic defender. Her light tech and enhancements scientifically altered her physiology over prolonged use, so now she's science origin and has light powers without needing her previous tech, plus some new inventions etc. she's developed. Pyro's -tohit + seeker drones -tohit + FF generator = good net defense, which allows for laying down traps safely. She has plenty of controls across the two sets and is well-equipped for soloing; I'm not worried about being too slow for teams, I plan to use trip mine and poison trap sparingly to keep pace, will still have a big bag of tricks to contribute even without those in active rotation. Excited to get access to the two bombs for more gadgety goodness.

You don't really NEED that many. It is frantically fun running a Yin at +4 this way. How on earth did you not pick up at least disruption arrow!??? You NEVER skip an aoe -resist power they're arguably probably the most useful powers in the entire game. And acid arrow do not skip either. It's -defense and extra stuff is nice, but defintely don't skip it for it's proc options. two extra -resist procs, and some damage procs, and it doubles as an aoe attack. It's one of the only things that makes ice blasts awful aoe tolerable to me, plus it's fun! (just wish it animated faster but it's not SLOW slow)

TA is a nice ranged debuff set and hypnotizing lights is a ranged cone.
