Game Master GM_GooglyMoogly Posted July 22 Game Master Posted July 22 You should have used your inspirations proactively. 5
battlewraith Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Some cool kids told me that the way to play the game is to go all in on damage and pop purples whenever you actually need a defense. In other words, whenever you're actually fighting something. So I was toying with the idea of doing a theme character that is a drug addicted superhero nepo-baby. I would only slot damage procs and then pop fatty insps to get me through. This proposal would stand in the way of me hypothetically every possibly pursuing this idea. So I must respectfully decline. Actually I don't care, let's do it. Guzzle some more cough syrup and give us more thoughts. 2

I have specific dietary needs and block all the other stuff. Also, in the poll: Inspiration tray, bag of skittles or mini Tetris game I am all in on Tetris. I don't want some pesky break free or wakie filling in a slot when I could just combo one out of the 3 I do use. 1
Techwright Posted July 22 Posted July 22 You can only have my inspiration tray if you pry it from my cold, dead, no-rez-inspirations-left, med-transporter-failed-me hands. And I've still got Return to Battle (though 59 minutes is kind of a boring wait.). I've said it before on the forums: I've got team inspirations. Teammates are going to be inspired whether they like it or not! 😈 On 7/21/2025 at 10:04 AM, lyra said: you can deactivate inspiration drops via p2w vendor.i do that with small inspis around lvl30. Right! And one can also turn on Team Inspirations (admittedly at 100K INF) if the OP suggestion of benefiting the teammates has any seriousness to it. Besides, changing the settings to large only with team options, should get one a nice stash to sell at auction. 1

Andreah Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I agree Inspirations are a core mechanic. I also think they could use some work. They're necessarily limited by the size of the tray, but I'd like to see them limited very slightly by applying very short cooldowns (a few seconds) by type and size. These cooldowns could be made level dependent too, such that they're almost instantly back up for lower level characters, but are a little less fast for higher levels. E.g., 1 second for levels 1-10, 2 seconds for levels 11-20, and so on, up to 5 seconds for levels 41-50. This way you can't blow through your entire tray to become a god for thirty seconds.

When I was first starting out inspirations were useful but I quickly outgrew them as I got SOs. (I only use SOs because they help me kill Frostfire more quickly). I'm sure more people would team for an applaud button than a chance at random inspirations for selfbuffs. I dont think inspirations are useless but I agree the way they are stored and used with zero method of auto sorting or any real sorting outside manual moving them around, is beyond terrible.
