Thraxen Posted Sunday at 05:13 AM Posted Sunday at 05:13 AM I only have one that is 50 and all done. It’s water.kin. I like it fine but it’s very busy. I forgot siphon speed all the time and got so many aoes i forget about judgment a lot. Anyway, any fun suggestions? Electric blast seems fun with it shocking and scourging for extra damage. Ice blast seems cool with the two rain powers. But fun is more important than synergies. Maybe dark blast? Still don’t have one of those.
Troo Posted Sunday at 06:53 AM Posted Sunday at 06:53 AM Fire/Dark Ice/Dark Elec/Dark Beam Rifle/Traps 1 "Homecoming is not perfect but it is still better than the alternative.. at least so far" - Unknown (Wise words Unknown!) Si vis pacem, para bellum
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 10:47 AM Author Posted Sunday at 10:47 AM I just did a dark/fire def a few months ago. Beam/traps might be cool.
Gerswin Jr Posted Sunday at 11:45 AM Posted Sunday at 11:45 AM Ice/marine is an amazing balance of single target, aoe, and control and it brings a lot to a team. 1
MonteCarla Posted Sunday at 11:55 AM Posted Sunday at 11:55 AM If you're looking for something less busy, Force Fields or Sonic Resonance are at the other end from Kinetics. Bubble everyone every four minutes, run a toggle or two, and get blasting! Beam Rifle would pair nicely with either conceptually, and provide a good contrast to Water Blast as a more single target focussed set. I had a look though my Corrupters and my favourite was Elec/Elec, but that's quite busy like Kinetics. 1 The Badass Empath Guide Modern Force Fields Guide The Rich Alt's Guide to Perma-Dom Resistances for Brutes Proc Bombing for Defenders
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM Author Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM Elec/sonic sounds fun. Haven't been able to get into sonic but didn't play it too high.
MonteCarla Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM I never feel safe with Poison, either if I run it or a teammate has it, whereas FF is the ultimate safety set. Electric Blast is a defensive kind of set, with End drain and a hold as its gimmicks, but it is very friendly for being in melee range with no cones. Elec/Poison could be quite fun! 1 The Badass Empath Guide Modern Force Fields Guide The Rich Alt's Guide to Perma-Dom Resistances for Brutes Proc Bombing for Defenders
twozerofoxtrot Posted Sunday at 01:24 PM Posted Sunday at 01:24 PM Elec Blast on Corrs is kind of a "win more" set since at the lower end of an enemy's health bar you've also likely drained enough to be popping Shocked crits alongside Scourge. Which is a neat, unique interaction to Corruptors IMO. Having the Mez Protect from either FF or Sonic is pretty choice, too. Both sets are less busy and allow you to focus primarily on offense. Personally I'm more of a fan of FF over Sonic but that's entirely because 1) Slotting opportunities and 2) Power Boosting. 1
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:15 PM (edited) I'm gonna give elec/sonic a whirl. Couldn't get on a lowbie team so farmed him to 27. I'll actually play him later on today/tomorrow. I'll see how it goes. Might switch to /ff depending on how it plays. Thanks for all the input y'all. Edited Sunday at 04:48 PM by Thraxen 1
Warshades Posted Sunday at 03:26 PM Posted Sunday at 03:26 PM Personal preference, but as far as shielding sets go, I always prefer Cold Domination. It is among one of the best debuffing sets with Heat Loss, Sleet, and Benumb. I normally skip Frostwork and Snow Storm, though Snow Storm can be a useful power for pulling groups around corners and into Sleet if you plan to solo a lot more. It's fairly light on required slots for the secondary so you can focus a lot more of your slotting on the primary and pool/epic powers. 1
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM I thought about cold. My only 50 troller is cold. It is also just like 75% of the corrs I see too so that is part of my reason to not pick it too.

However, if i was not so enthralled with my Vampire concept…. I would say a Ice/Dark/Dark Corruptor would be slightly safer and slightly more powerful. The only downside i see is losing the ST heal, but you still have the wonderful AoE heal. You are COMPLETELY ranged. The AoEs are DoT that work with Scourge, that synergize with Tar Patch. You have a hard hitting ST chain. Indeed, it is a vicious pairing. Edited Sunday at 06:11 PM by Snarky 1
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 06:40 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:40 PM I just did a dark/fire defender that is vampire themed oddly enough so didnt' wanna just do another dark miasma again. And it's fire so didn't wanna do fire blast. I love dark miasma though. Super safe toon. Don't need much defense when the -to hit is soooooooo high. And my only other corr is kin already. In hindsight, There is probably a good way to check off stuff I have/just made and process of elimination it. Did a Yin and Moonfire on elec/sonic. It's pretty fun so far. Can't tell if liquify is great or trash. Probably a good spot for achilles and annihilation procs I imagine. 1
kelika2 Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM fire, ice, water >>> storm. these are primaries with rains trick arrow, marine, dark, cold dom, storm. these are secondaries with wide-area-slow effects to keep shit in the rains. the starting power "taser" can be used to light your oil slick here is a warning, going trick arrow will make it hard to go back to anything else. my fire and ice/trick arrow corrs skyrocketed to 50 and kept going until vet level 60something 1
Thraxen Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Teaming, I've found it almost impossible to have oil slick NOT lit by someone else before I ever had to worry about having to do it myself.
