Aught Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Newer player here. I did a lot of research already but can't figure out how it works. I have slotted my level 50, vet level 35 with Tier 4 incarnates but my toon still only shows as 50+1. I see 50's in Atlas all the time showing as 50+3, how do I get the level shift to count? I would like to make level 50 +4X8's go easier. Lore: Phantom Radial Superior Ally Destiny: Ageless Core Epiphany Alpha: Muscular Radial Paragon From everything I've read, I should be showing as 50 +3. All help is greatly appreciated!
Triumphant Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Hi, @Aught The +4/8 does not refer to level shifts. It is a reference to the difficulty setting of the mission that is being run. +4 means the enemies are +4 levels above your own. The 8 (from +4/8) means you're fighting the same amount of enemies that a group of 8 heroes would face. If you have your T3 Alpha, it will give you a +1 level shift, so that content difficutly will be (more or less) the equivalent of 1 level of difficulty easier for you. For example, +4/8 should equate to +3/8 if you have your level shift, +3/6 should equate to +2/6, and so on. I hope that clarifies things for you. Also, others can probably explain it much better than I just did, so feel free to chime in and add something (or correct anything I miscommunicated).
Aught Posted September 22 Author Posted September 22 (edited) specifically, my question is, why don't i show as 50+3? I only show as 50+1 but have all the level shift tier 4 incarnates slotted. edited for typo. Edited September 22 by Aught
Jacktar Posted September 22 Posted September 22 You only get +3when doing Incarnate stuff. You get +1 doing non Incarnate stuff. (not sure for what levels of content) If you open your Power menu then Stats you will see at what level you are currently getting. 1
Force Redux Posted September 23 Posted September 23 As long as you have T3 lore/destiny slotted you'll be +3 total vs. Incarnate content. Others clicking on you will see it. When in doubt read the info on your lore/destiny, it will mention the level shifts. It's a display thing. @Force Redux on Everlasting ----- (read my guide) ----- Gather the Shadows: A Dark Miasma Primer for Masterminds
lemming Posted September 23 Posted September 23 The level shift from Incarnates: The +1 from Alpha will show in any content level 45+ (So if you exemplar down, you still get the +1, making yourself effectively 46) The shifts from Lore & Destiny only show on incarnate content, and only in a few zones. Ouroborus, DA, Echo Plaza. There you'll show +3, other places +1. 1
sponazgul Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Others have explained this already, but I like chiming in. the Tier 3 and Tier 4 in Alpha is a Level Shift. It applies as long as you are level 50 (not exemped down) the tiers 3 and 4 in Destiny and Lore each give an Incarnate Shift. It only comes active when you are doing incarnate content(iTrials, Incarnate story arcs like the Dark Astoria arc and Valeria’s arc in Cimerora) or are in a zone that triggers those shifts (Cimerora, Ouroboros, Dark Astoria.) I recommend monitoring your Level Shifts via Combat Attributes, just as a nice thing to know.
sponazgul Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) I’ll have to test lemming’s statement that the shift is available if you are 46 - 49. I know your incarnate powers are available. I’ll have to see if an even con minion is white or not. (EDIT: I misread and didn't go back and re-read - Lemming did say 45, the 46 was a reference to your level at 45 - the level shift gets you to 46) Edited September 24 by sponazgul

Although you can have the Level shift be active if you are as low as level 45, since the +5 when exemplared gets you access to your Incarnate powers (and Incarnate status) (EDIT: I had misread Lemming's actual post - they made it clear that 45 was the floor - there was no need for me to say "Although...") BlackSpectre Posted Saturday at 06:50 AM Posted Saturday at 06:50 AM You can see your incarnate levels in the Combat Attributes window —> Base category —> Level Shift (near the bottom). They do count. All the time. But the actual boost/buff only occurs while doing incarnate content. you can see other’s incarnate levels just by targeting them. 1 Black Spectre - A Dark Defender's Home on the Web • The Advanced Bind Guide • The Masters of BAF: A Guide for Leaders and Players • The Wiki List of Slash Commands
