meyjer94 Posted Tuesday at 05:20 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:20 AM this can be a game changer, people use powers that famous but used in there own way
TheMoneyMaker Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM Considering that the development team is entirely volunteer with no financing available to develop such content, this is very unlikely to ever happen.....but not impossible. 1 COH Music: Origins & Archtypes, Heroes & Villains, Croatoa, Nemesis
El D Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM (edited) New is relative for this topic as it's been brought up on and off for years now. Even more if you count the forums back on Live. @TheMoneyMaker already hit on a hefty chunk of the issue with making this work, but the other half is the game engine itself. CoX doesn't do stretching models or rubbery/rope physics. That's why the whip abilities in Demon Summoning are fire FX and only move via a preset animation. On the other elastic hand, webbing already has a solid amount of powers and FX made (mostly courtesy of Arachnos). A web-based set (Control, Blast, or Epic/Ancillary) seems like it'd be the much easier option, though I wouldn't hold my breath for any web swinging travel powers. The closest we might get to those are faked variants of preexisting powers, like an alternate Teleport animation that has the character launch a grapple shot. If anything, we'd be more like to see something like some of the psi melee attacks or the updated MCU version of Ms. Marvel, where they are some sort of "energy limbs" rather than the actual limbs...

Which would be frustrating for a great many players looking for stretching as an attack set. Better to present that as Energy Limbs like you say rather than Stretching.
