Originally I had the build set up for Melee Defense cap or close to it with 34% Melee and 16% Range, AOE doesn't really matter because the game checks your BEST score. So Ranged AOE and PBAOE will also go against Ranged or Melee respectively. What I quickly came to discover was yes in a group setting I was okay. But if I decided to pull aggro ( accidentally or being over zealous and attacking first out of the group ) I would either go flat from my Range defenses or Mobs running away from Melee would then open up with an attack from Range before running back. Again this would cause some issues because of the lack of Range Defense now combine in the whole luck streak I would get hits coming in from Melee and Range. Again I am more fighting to survive and regroup then clearing out mobs off the map. Hail of Bullets is your go to power and its your big hit followed up by Bullet Rain. This is key -> Hail of Bullets also adds about 11% to all positional Defense Caps. So this brings your Range into the 50s and just about caps off your Melee Defense. <- This is key I will post the data chunk of my first build and the layout of my second build. I will simply say I removed the dark powers though I thought they were good. But I just felt it was over kill. If I could keep the Range defense Cap AND the Dark Powers I would consider it. The best I could do is 40% or 41% in Range with Dark powers. Game Play You basically run into the crowd with super speed and the assistance of the Stealth IO and Fulcrum Shift and Hail of Bullets which will put you at close to Melee Defense cap. Incarnates bump this up very well. I can do 4/8 but I need to be on top of it, no slacking off. The best setting is 3/8 and its a really smooth ride. You follow up with Siphon Speed to get the recharge on your Hail of bullets increased. Bullet Rain for another AOE. Then Siphon Power and pick off runners and cone attacks. After the first group you want to have Siphon Speed to carry over to the next group to keep your Hail of Bullets at top recharge. If someone has a better idea without killing the numbers I would be happy to hear them. I have some incarnates but as of this posting I don't know what they are. I will clean this up with some real wording on the powers instead of being so vague, just being lazy. But have the defense bubble that dissipates over time and the Fire attack and the warworks pets ( Victoria and the drone ). I just looked for what would help my defenses and recharge. In keeping with your build I have avoided purple sets where possible (there is one superior cold set in dual wield which allows you to get an extra slot into brawl/boxing for makos, you could also go back to thunderstrike and take a slot out of health, but this would hurt your end recov). This has 44.9% ranged def and 33.6 melee def before hail of bullets, this allows your to get to 44.9% melee def with hail of bullets. If you use plus five boosters in your weave and combat jumping you will be above softcap for ranged before hail of bullets and softcapped to melee after. This build also gets you soul drain which is a very good dmg buff for you as well as dark embrace enhancing your resists significantly (you have something like 66.7% s/l res in this build). Soul drain is almost perma at 32 seconds and this is a big help considering pistols does not get any kind of build up. You are at speed cap with siphon speed+sprint+ninja run and therefore I did not feel you needed super speed. Hasten is 1 second away from perma. Overall, I think this is an improvement in what you are going for. Let me know what you think. Oh, and you'll need the agility alpha. In keeping with your build I have avoided purple sets where possible (there is one superior cold set in dual wield which allows you to get an extra slot into brawl/boxing for makos, you could also go back to thunderstrike and take a slot out of health, but this would hurt your end recov). This has 44.9% ranged def and 33.6 melee def before hail of bullets, this allows your to get to 44.9% melee def with hail of bullets. If you use plus five boosters in your weave and combat jumping you will be above softcap for ranged before hail of bullets and softcapped to melee after. This build also gets you soul drain which is a very good dmg buff for you as well as dark embrace enhancing your resists significantly (you have something like 66.7% s/l res in this build). Soul drain is almost perma at 32 seconds and this is a big help considering pistols does not get any kind of build up. You are at speed cap with siphon speed+sprint+ninja run and therefore I did not feel you needed super speed. Hasten is 1 second away from perma. Overall, I think this is an improvement in what you are going for. Let me know what you think. Oh, and you'll need the agility alpha. I can see that adding Armageddon into Soul Drain and adding Ragnarok to one of the attacks for example But again as I mentioned I am running 3/8 very smoothly. How much more do you want ? So for that I bow to your Mid Skills and I am glad I learned a few things from your build. This build without a doubt should be the go to build for anyone looking to Dual Pistol / Kin My only wish would be to keep inertial reduction and drop increase density. around with your build as well. Its one of those things where its so tight your giving up one thing for another because this is sort of DP Kin at the extreme building. The one question I was thinking as well but didn't know the numbers was am I going over the top or maxing out DPS with Fulcrum shift and Soul Drain. When you activate both in MID the numbers are amazing for Hail of Bullets. Again my current build is doing 3/8 and I am killing orange con mobs with HOB. HOB and Bullet Rain just about clear out red cons and bring purple cons half way or more. Again your build is better because Hail of Bullets is at 25 seconds compared to my 33 seconds among other things. I was looking at Winters bite on AH yesterday and seen either set regular or superior was 20 million each. I was asking around in help if converting another AT IO would work. I got mixed answers but overall the answer was NO. 100 million for 5 or 8 million ( 40 million total ) for another IO and convert. I would rather do the 40 million. I'm going to look at this when I get home and post up what build I have I think I am at V5. I think you build was 3. Side note I noticed the new MIDS builder that I have does not add any defense bonus for Melee Hybird Incarnate. Currently have Support but might go melee for the regen. Again doesn't cost me anything but time to build up the resources. It allows you to circumvent the damage cap and do even more damage based on how much damage your powers are doing (yours will be capped most of the time). It doesn't have a Taunt or Regen or defense, but it does give you more of that sweet sweet damage we love as Kins.

Running in and doing Fulcrum Shift and then Hail of Bullets can put me in a tight situation sometimes with getting a bunch of hits in on me. But this is on a team and no one else is running Maneuvers for example. Solo I can go at my own pace. Currently I am doing 3/8 with NO issues. So, if we are after more recharge while maintaining ranged softcap and melee softcap after hail of bullets, then we can trade vengeance for repel with a kb to kd io and the ff recharge proc. This will give you more total recharge than just that 7.5% lotg vengeance placeholder. In order to do this we also need to take one slot out of weave and put it in repel. Now, you get a 100% recharge proc that should be up 50-80% of the time when you are in the middle of a spawn, not to mention the mitigation of all the knockdown. I would also, use +5s in combat jumping to keep you at the range cap. I should note that I can the comicon s/l map on +4x8 with bosses without a problem on my fire/kin tank build and repel is a big part of that. The one downside is that your kin powers are now 90% accurate instead of 95%, still plenty to cap yourself with fulcrum shift and run two siphon speeds (remember there is an auto hit to fulcrum shit and then 9-10 acc checks). I feel this is an acceptable trade-off for more recharge and the knockdown mitigation. Repel is expensive to run, but you have conserve power, transference, and ageless destiny if you want. Darkir Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) Made one last pass at this and took Mu mastery instead of power mastery in order to get to 45% energy resist. Your s/l resist goes down to 72.6%, but I think 2.4% s/l resist is a great trade for 32.5% more energy resistance. I went ahead and also took 1 kb protection out of the armor in order to get repel down to add an end redux to repel getting it down to .49 end/s instead of .74 end/s. Now it will still drain 1% per mob knocked down, but you can still run it with good transference usage, conserve power, or ageless or all three. The one thing to note is that giant monsters will now be able to knock you down, so if this bothers you, switch it back. I have to jump on him and see what his current build is. Definitely going to respec him now as cash flow is a much better now. But I need to work some of your build info into another build I have and see what I can change as well.
