I don't want to derail the whips only mastermind thread with non whips builds.

 

Robot Traps - Last pet only. 

Theme: A boy with his Giant robot, which he blows up from time to time. 

Would buy the hover board. I don't know if the hover board is a replacement for flight or just another way of flying but you need to have flight.  Otherwise would go with the backpack jet packs. Or use temps.

Last 2 powers questionable. But they do help. 

 

Would love to make this toon a bunch of emotes. EG when blowing up the giant robot the kid would say different things.  Like Kaboom and then cycle through different emotes so you don't see the same thing repeatedly.

At a glance, though this may be a matter of taste:

 

You have no way to keep enemies from being knocked back by your assault bot. The kb-kd IO would be the simplest one, but I'm not sure how much you want to keep the slotting you have on your bots.

This is less "required" but if you had the ability I would take and 6-slot one of the two bots you don't plan on using. Not for the bots themselves, since you didn't plan on using them, but to slot the six pet defense IOs into. It's getting just under 20% def from your skills, the IOs would bump that to 30%, with bonus resists added in. Unfortunately, since your build seems to be mostly focused on defense set bonuses, I'm not sure what you could take out to add one of them back and slot it up. 

 

Also, the hover board works just like flight, but you cannot use any skills while on it.

Change to the build as Detonator was useless.  I know many would say the whole build is useless.

 

I also removed Seeker Drone and changed out the epics to get a few more attacks and holds.

 

I keep pet on aggressive to increase his survival a bit more.

sleep and holds issues but not breaking toggles. So once out of hold no need to retoggle anything but repel.

Repel is pretty cool as slotted. will respec to remove one IO from weaken resolve and put add another forcefeed back IO to repel.

Repel alone is killing minions.

Whips Kin REDO.

 

Big on Endurance Drain ATM.. 

 

Agility Partial Core Revamp And Hybrid Support Core Genome fixed several issues.

Melee Defense not being at 45 was causing me issues because I was pretty much in Melee. 

 

Now the build is working well and not that endurance hungry. 

Was doing the Comic Con S/L farm for testing and it works.  

 

End result it is a usable build now. 

 

I used Force of Will with Whip Kin and it just wasn't working out well.  

Repel fun power but I'm torn for its value and use and further Endurance cost.  

But I am keeping Repel for now . 

I could have taken Boxing and get that cross bonus between Boxing, Kick and Cross Punch. 

Though I do not know if that accuracy recharge bonus is across all the powers or just Cross Punch or the fighting pool powers specifically.

Mid's only shows it working for those powers specifically. 

 

Again Repel can be a take it or leave it power. 

 

If I could use another Ancillary/Epic to get these numbers it would be nice. 

Electric Fences holds the mobs from being knocked back for Thunder strike, otherwise there is a chance of no KB. Sometimes I get Knockback. 

 

I will take out the One IO from Repel and put it in Thunder Strike six slotting Thunder Strike. 

change the IO in Repel from force feedback recharge to a DPS IO.

Beast Mastery / Trick Arrow

With Incarnates I am doing 4/8

 

This build went through several variations.

Just like with every build I try to max out the settings.  This build was a bit tougher because it had debuff but not much DPS. 

Another issue I encountered was Oil Slick had nothing to light it up and using the taser temp was caused 2 issues. 

  1.  When using Taser if failed to light the Oil Slick it would make the Oil Slick target disappear.  I could fire all my arrows at the Oil Slick target without an issue but once I used the Taser temp. BAM it was gone ! - So that was No good.
  2. Taser was short ranged and it was putting me into Melee combat range. 
  3. I wanted to stay thematic but had to pick up fire blast, I changed it Green to try to keep it nature magical like. But was still Green Fire.  At that point It just made sense to rework the build max it out a bit more.

I removed Super Speed, Maneuvers, Tactics and Temp Invulnerability from Field Mastery and went Kick, Tough, Weave and Fire Blast.

Had a reliable way to ignite and another DPS but still was running 1/6 at best and kill the 2 purple con NPC ( forgot their names A.T.P.) during the Incarnate missions was difficult. I had to log in with another account and burn the mind controlled hero down to finish the mish.

Final Build

I removed  Disruption arrow  and Fortify Pack and went Field Mastery again. 

Picked up Temp Invulnerability , Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast.  Colored them green 

Now I have 2 more attacks and 2 more ways to light up Oil Slick and I am 5 points away from S/L Resistance cap.

Reworked Demon Dark Build.

Tried out Spring attack with a bunch of procs and just found it lack luster. 

Though again I know people can just say the whole build is lack luster. 🤣

 

Nonetheless, I needed Scorpion Shield and no other attacks caught my eye overall. 

Another issue was of course endurance. Rule of thumb is your endurance RECOVERY is 2 points higher then your use. This wasn't. 

I added Slot enhancers where I could to reduce or increase endurance and it helped out.

 

I also had super speed and super jump and I really felt it both were not needed. I needed attacks.

So I went with Mace Beam Volley and was much better. Quicker recharge and overall more DPS.

 

The one power I see is great with Procs is Howling Twilight. I can see some nice damage coming from that from time to time along with the stun.

Also picked up power boost which is also helpful for increasing the timer on some stuns and even for the heal. Twilight Grasp went from 427 to 555 which as it says in mids 30%. Sadly that power can miss a lot.  

 

Finally Hell on earth with Dark Servant wasn't feeling it. So went with last Demon pet.  Minor gripe, The Demon and Dark Servant are on top of each other when not moving.. I know not important just noticed it. 

 

Overall now its working well. I could put catalyst in the powers to make them downwards compatible for endurance reason.

 

I was trying to go for a dark boggy man under your bed theme. A guy with a whip and some smoke monster and some small little imps. 

Mace beam and the large demon sort of messes with that concept.

I was curious, have you tried taking on AV's successfully with just the Assault Bot? Not even necessarily a 54, just a basic level 50 AV. I know Traps is generally capable of making this possible, but from a damage perspective do you and the Bot alone provide enough?

 

Curious on the idea of making an alternative build for Robotics/Kin with just the Bot, and really pour in survival on just the two of us. I know that collectively the Kin is able to mass-unload from nothing summoned to a dead AV in about 7-10 minutes, so that's where I'm going "??? Is the Assault Bot enough?" Cause boy-howdy, I might try and make it work.

Maria Jenkins arc is an easy way as Redlynne pointed out, if you're at least 40 (I think), there's also a couple of test AV missions on AE but I don't remember their Arc ID, try searching "AV" or "AV Test" might show up. The lame-duck test would be to try and shoot down a Pylon in the RWZ. It'd at least tell you if your DPS is there, but more curious about the running aspect with an AV moving around and having varied attacks more than anything.
