Some Random User Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Players have performed a data extract for the file names for the power icons so they can correctly use the /macroimage command. Unfortunately, the data they've put together doesn't always work in-game, such as for [Recall Friend]. Attempts to use the icon for that power yields the same "broken icon" as when garbage input is used for the icon's name. Several obvious possible names have been tried instead, but none of them actually result in the icon used for the Recall Friend power. This should be relatively easy for the Homecoming team to make a post about, with a table showing the icons in one column, the power name in the next column, and the /macroimage argument in a third column. I'm certain if someone who knows their way around the client looks into this there can't be much difficulty in providing a complete correct list like this. Edited to add this note: This turned out to be a bug introduced by a tool that was pinned by the staff in this thread. Without that tool being applied this bug does not exist. This conversation is being continued in that thread. Edited August 1, 2019 by Some Random User thread closed

Vanden Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 There's no reason it would use the Recall Friend icon for me but not for you. A Cheat Sheet for efficient Endurance Recovery slotting Invention Set Designer Tool Spreadsheet with every Ancillary Power Pool
Some Random User Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 I logged back in to try again. I double-checked spelling. Does not work for me.
justicebeliever Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Maybe if you both post the image you are getting using Vanden’s macro? Some Random User Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) I believe them when they say they get the correct image. The game has a "broken link" image that appears when you mis-type the name of the icon you're planning to use. That's always the icon I get, or I get the icon for [Teleport] if I specifically try Teleportation_RecallTeleport instead. Edited July 31, 2019 by Some Random User typo
Vanden Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Teleportation_FriendTeleport is not the name of the icon for any power, so naturally you're going to get a broken image if that's what you pass the macro_image command. Why don't you post an image of the macro you get with Teleportation_RecallTeleport? Vanden Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 That's the image for Recall Friend. Go ahead and link it in the chat window and you'll see. A Cheat Sheet for efficient Endurance Recovery slotting Invention Set Designer Tool Spreadsheet with every Ancillary Power Pool
Some Random User Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 Then why does adding Recall Friend to my try add an icon with three circles and arrows pointing down? They're not the same icon. Compare with the [Assemble the Team] icon (a P2W Vendor power).
Vanden Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I see you posted in the icon pack thread, so I see what's happening here. Recall Friend is one of the powers the icon pack changes. If you took a moment to look at Recall Friend, you'd see that it is in fact using the icon image that you're seeing in your macros. If you want the old icon back, you just have to go to the folder where the changed icon files are (inside your CoH installation folder, it's data -> texture_library -> GUI -> Icons -> Powers) and remove the file Teleportation_RecallTeleport.texture from that folder. This is good info, and makes me question if the icon pack is a good idea. By the pack's logic the icon for [Assemble the Team] should have been changed by the texture pack as well. Inconsistencies like this were the thing the texture pack is supposed to eliminate. Editing the thread title.
Vanden Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Recall Friend, unlike Assemble the Team, Summon Teammates, and the old Fold Space, is single-target. The inner symbol of those powers implies multiple targets being affected at once, so it was changed to the generic teleportation symbol. Some Random User Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 I follow your logic but I felt the old icon intuitively represented [Recall Friend]'s effect, so I presumed the icon would be not change with the update. I prefer the old icon. Easy to fix. While I'm on the topic, why was the [Blazing Aura] icon changed to have a clock?
Vanden Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 (edited) Combustion in Fire Manipulation used a sword inner symbol, similar to Fire Sword Circle, even though it isn’t an elemental weapon attack. A generic damage symbol was more accurate, but a generic damage symbol with a PBAoE border was being used as the icon for Blazing Aura (now Cauterizing Aura). Changing the inner symbol to the Damage Over Time symbol frees up the generic damage symbol for Combustion. This change to the symbol was applied to most/all damage aura powers in the game.
