Doing them in that order too. Almost got Hybrid done so I can do some testing but I have been doing other things.

Because due to the way the DoT is calcuated (each tick tests to hit and if it misses that DoT stack is removed) without 75% chance then DoT is completely worthless. The -max Hp debuff only really matter for big stuff like AVs and such and between the pets and your attacks you can easily keep it a max since each debuff only need to test to hit once.

The dot only checks if the -hp hits, so radial T4 is broken, and actually has the same chance of dot.  Needs more testing but that seems to be the way it's working.

You are right that Ill is inflated against Pylon not just for the Containment but because it does not move.

 

 

This right here is why the melee pet sets will never perform in the real world as well as they do on the pylons if you are not locking everything down somehow. Just roll up a level 1 beast or ninja mm something without any ranged attack and watch as they chase down a fleeing minion and never once attack it. they can't attack anything on the move fer squat.

the -maxhp matters for all boss fights higher than +2 especially for the mm primaries with horrible single target damage like mercs and bots.

Honestly I find rotations too rigid. I almost always use a priority system for my characters.

 

Basically for this guy I make sure Freezing Rain, Storm, Tornado and Enflame are on cooldown. Then just alternate Blind and Arcane Bolt. Psionic Tornado for AoE situations.

Trollers don't chain. They play quite differently. You rotate targets a lot in order to mez as many enemies as possible. You rotate to get the AoE controls into the center of the spawns, then pick off the outliers with single-target controls. An attack chain isn't going to do that well, at all.

 

Even against a single target, they depend too much on many longer-recharge powers to really have a consistent chain. A Blaster is likely to have Hasten, Build-Up, and Aim, all of which are fast animations, sneaking into their rotations, so they can build an attack chain. Same for Scrappers, sans Aim. But Controllers have lots of powers that are integral to single-target DPS, but are on recharges too long to set into an attack chain, but also have animations long enough to interrupt an attack chain. Most debuff powers that you'll throw in like Freezing Rain, Tar Patch, run 2-3 seconds in animation time rather than about 1 like Hasten/Build-up. And some builds depend on running several of those (Storm especially, with 3 powers cycled as fast as possible, plus Hasten).

 

So... Trollers don't chain. They do smoke, however, if they're Fire. 😉   And let's not talk about what those seeds-users over there do... 😛

Hey@Frosticusand @Maxzero I'm not finding any updated details.   What were the final DPS numbers or kill times from the /Storm MM builds you two were working on?

I have gotten lazy. My build is complete now but there is a ban on gameplay videos in Homecoming.

 

From my tests so far my MM is miles ahead of my Troller. Sub 1 min easy.

 

Plus does not exploit the stationary and auto Containment damage nature of the pylon.

Nah, I never got around to revisiting it after my initial pylon attempts. I'm not really a fan of pets and I don't play them very well.

I have no doubt that someone more skilled and interested could take a demon/storm considerably further than I initially did. My build knowledge and approach was quite rudimentary.
