Fortunata Proc Monster

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to apply some of the new found information regarding the PPM changes to my Fortunata build. The results are in and I before I respec and build it out for real, I wanted to share for some feedback.

My goals were pretty straight forward:

1) Cap positional defenses

2) Get as much S/L resistance as I could

3) Avoid slotting for recharge in AoE attacks

4) Get at least two damage procs in each AoE

5) Get enough global recharge to account for number 3

This is similar to what I have been tinkering with in Mids.

I took all the pre-20 melee attacks, though taking telekinetic blast and Force Feedback slotting might not be a bad idea.

The idea is to fire tornado for recharge, damage, and chaos. Close and PBAOE with wail. Then clean up what's left with melee.

I think the confuse and dominate powers as emergency buttons. At least for now. I have to respec my Widow and play test a lot.

All just theoretical for now.

Does anyone have a old "Blood Widow" build? Aka melee Fort.

Fortunata now has access to Weaken Resolve which can slot four 90% procs, one of which is Achilles' Heel which Fortunata didn't have access to before. It also has -15% res, a modifier only SoA and Defenders currently have.

Ooh I didn't try Weaken Resolve on Pineapple, I think in Mid's I could only slot defense debuff sets (Achilles proc being a wonderful adder to its - res). I was wondering about trying to fit it in and Unleash Potential. This changes things

Favourite toons:

Level 50 Widow (Fortunata): Dance Macabre (Indomitable)

Level 50 Soldier (Crab): The Arms Race (Indomitable)

Level 50 Brute (Psi/Rad): Glow Cloud (Indomitable)

Tried this build and its in no way playable.....

The end drain is WAY to high to kill more than 3 groups without running completely out of end.

Furthermore there is no single target chain at all.

Looks nice in theory but in reality its unplayable 😞

I'm not 100% sure how well this will work, but I definitely wouldn't slot Total Domination with damage procs - sure they'll all probably go off on it but the recharge time is so long as it's an AoE hold.  However, Dominate is a great place for them (maybe that's what you meant to do?) 🙂

Do you need Tough, Maneuvers, Assault and Hasten? That's a lot of toggle, and you probably don't need Maneuvers on top of Mind Link if you've got Hasten.

Do you need superspeed and superjump? You can put a stealth proc in sprint and run the L20 stealth power for either some more defence or a proc mule.

You only have five single-target attacks, which is very, very low, and one is picked up very late. Do you have anything that resembles an attack chain?
