Where exactly did it get the issue?

Y'all are making me wish they had the 16" M series already!! (and I had the $$ for it)

I haven't thoroughly tested gameplay, but the 8gb handles Ultra very well roaming around atlas. I would focus on whether the apps you need otherwise will have workable versions first.

Ok, I've got it I believe now...and I may as well write up a guide, but it boils down to this (same as the HC Launcher), you need to set the permissions ahead of time (before hitting play) or it Will hang. Note: I'm not 100% sure I've got it "clean" installed though, so I'll have to ask @Mangaabout what should be deleted for that process.

Hmm, it's being troublesome and the old guides are Old and not intended for M1.

NP, I'm still going through my screenshot list, but may just make a new grouping. Either way, delete the existing files and restart the Mac.

@Voltak Ok, so I see a few things we need to review here as well as some starting questions: I've sent a msg to the Mods to trim your personal info from your screenshot for your privacy (and I'll do the same from any images I'll post below). It's not a strike or anything against you, just trying to make sure anything sensitive isn't revealed I see that you're on Big Sur, but can you confirm you're on the M1 platform for me. Use the "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and crop like so I can see that you're attempting to install Island Rum, not the HC Launcher (covered by this guide), so the steps are NOT going to match. If you wish to proceed with IR, which I can confirm Will work, then please create a new thread and we can work out of it (tag me so I can find it please). I've not done a guide on it because the HC Launcher is basically the "current path" of the game. If you wish to cleanup from where you've started, then delete the above items and let me know if you need help after reading the following The part that was missed was the file you downloaded (IR instead of HC Launcher). In the first few steps I've intentionally shown the image and filename as they are different from the others (Smart thinking on @Manga's part). Notice the difference between the two installations (I've customized the folder icons, so normally they'd look generic). Island Rum creates what's shown in Blue (Note: I've changed the name of the coh folder in order to run both and had to modify that installation). Homecoming Launcher is in Red (custom icon). I'm not sure how you triggered the "cityofheroes.exe" message above, but remember to launch the corresponding app (IR vs Launch CoH), not the files inside the coh folder directly. A couple of side notes I've never used that ClamXAV, but remember that you may have to add the coh folder and respective launcher to the whitelist of the application Unlike MacKeeper, which is absolutely Adware/bad, I have mixed feelings over CleanMyMac. Yes, it'll do automated cleaning, but if set a certain way (unsure of its defaults), it can cause more harm than good. I've net to find a need for it myself, but I know I've tried it in the past. I Would recommend the MacsFanControl (controls your fans better) app as well as the CoconutBattery app for those with MacBooks. I'm not tied to the companies (nor HC for that matter), but I do encouraging people to pay the optional little bit to support of those devs as the tools are very useful.

With the HC Launcher, mine are located in: C:\Games\COX\Homecoming\accounts\ACCOUNT_NAME\maps (modified for privacy)

If that's taking the Whole screen, then double check your screen resolution as well to make sure that didn't get adjusted. It's a stretch, but eh

Oh no, I mean the life of the hardware itself. While some of us fair better with our tech, I almost always encourage new components if looking for a device that otherwise may not have a singular purpose. IE: Purchasing the PPC for the purposes of testing and running that platform natively.

Honestly though, for longevity sake, I wouldn't waste money on something that isn't from the last 2-3 Gens so that you get the most out of it (because the board is likely brand new still).

I ended up sticking with YouTube Music for the online side of things, but I'm also using AMZ music since I purchase albums from there that come with digital versions often.

Historically, the 32 bit version of the game always seemed to push the 1.5 Gb envelope (and crash), so machines with only 4 Gb of RAM (my first laptop when playing the game) are going to have a hard time. That said, I HAVE tested this game to function on a 1 Ghz Intel ATOM convertible with an APU and 1 Gb of RAM (because I could). If I were to build a minimal PC now a days, then I'd be looking for semi-recent Gen CPU, 16 Gb RAM, Discrete GPU with 4 Gb vRAM. That should do most things one might need without going overboard, but that's the low end of what I'd Really want.

This machine has run at nearly max settings since originally built back in 2012(?). Back then I only had 16 Gb RAM and a GTX 770 Ti. I've tested this machine at max settings as well and it performs even better visually...which makes sense because it's nearly a decade newer. This one handles almost as well as the first one, probably because they're Basically the same architecture at the core.

But...it has Own Club with a separate forum... Using the "Search" function that like 90% of the internet has (per site) would easily bring it up.

Oh good, that's what this is about because there's a Wentsworth in The Outer Worlds video game and it made me wonder if there was a Real Wentsworth this was All based on.

You shouldn't have to change that Every time. What's the path that this is installed into?
