So here is a build that I found but...something about it seems off. I had a look through the builds and while I saw a Savage Melee/Rad Stalker, I did not see one for a Scrapper, which I am currently playing. Would the builds be "mostly" the same? Maybe an oversight?

I thought it would matter with the fx for Rad but so far, not really having an issue with it visually. The concept changed to a nuclear panther (not tiger) and honestly it's been working quite well. 🙂 I think I found a build to start me off but...not sure if its all that good as it is. So far I haven't had many issues but im still only lvl 16.

I've played Savage Melee briefly and it was okay but I admit I probably didnt know what I was doing in terms of slotting so it was in no way optimized, but my alt-itus flared up again and I kinda want to try this combo but my build-fu blows chunks. I don't suppose anyone has tried this combo and has a workable build for it? I am looking for something somewhat survivable but still able to push out a good amount of damage, and I know this is a res set and def is more a scrappers forte but the mitigation factors appeal to me. Influence is no object either. Of course granted this is going to be a leveling thing for the most part, but if there are going to be changes to the end game build vs the leveling build I would love some advice on what powers to skip and what are absolutely essential. Theme is going to be a blue striped white tiger guy and I am going to say that nothing really is off the table in terms of power selection.

Really appreciate the detailed explanation. I did eventually did go with EA (though really wish the heal was a bit sooner). Level 12 with him now. I do have to wonder why a lot of people though really like /Rad? If defensive is better on scrappers after all. Maybe it has more DPS later?

Also, I've noticed quite a few peeps skipping Eviscerate. Is it not a good power?

So I have played a Claws/Elec before and honestly didn't really care for it. But I do hear that Rad and EA are really awesome on a Claws build so I guess what I am asking is: why? What gives those two the big "This is really good" vibe to the secondaries? (other than /Bio but I have no interest in a /bio char.) Is it better to go for /EA's +Def with its +Res additions or go with /Rads +Res with a bunch of utility (at least from what I have seen)? At this point I have a bit of choice paralysis so if anyone can give me the bump needed to go one or the other please do! 🙂 I saw someones claws/rad showcase on the forums and it was pretty impressive but couldn't find something for /EA.

Hey Sable, sorry for just getting back with you now...holidays have been quite busy. Thanks again for the build Idea! So, why is it you dont try to get the def to softcap and instead just try to hit that 32% threshold?

I was thinking of doing a Ice/Time Corr...is this something that would be good solo and on teams?

So this "revamp" has been talked about but...have they EVER implemented it (I am guessing no). Do the devs have a ETA on when we might see ANY changes to the WS/PB's?

Actually I dont mind getting rid of those two since it really isnt in theme anyway for the char. They were mostly just mules for the LoTG enhs.

I see, yeah and to be frank with you the second one WOULD be more in line with the concept (elec mastery vs Psy master) as the bird is a robot in my head... your second one aside from blazing blast not being in there is starting to intrigue me though more and more lol.

Currently its for a Rad/Regen Sent. It meshes well with the Apocalypse set but not having access to it yet had me ask the question of course. I wasnt sure if there was a "weaker" set that would do most of the things as Apocalypse or not. At any rate there were two builds I was looking at for this character but...something is off with mids on the second one and its not calculating the resistances correctly...not sure what is causing it myself but the second one does not have Apocalypse slotted in it. Version 2 though I think would be more my style of play more so than v1 though I think with the power choices and such. Hey thanks Meknomancer! I see where the Meltdown comes into the play and missed that! Interesting build ideas you have there, I may use some of them in others but I do have a mindset for this character and so blazing blast has to stay (plus I honest like the "no YOU get away from me!" repel) Not to mention flight isnt in yours and the character is a bird soooooo.... 😛 Yours has given me some consideration if I do decide to respec him out of the blazing blast though.

Wow, there are a lot of good answers here and I thank each and every one of you for your input! As I figured there are some differences here and there when it comes to the AT. This is for a Sentinel by the way. Gods I love that AT. 🙂 Thank you all for the thoughts and advice. So just as the title says, if you end up putting an Apocalypse IO set into a power at 50, what do you normally put into it before you hit max level? I've got several builds but I never really am sure what to slot into the powerset before purples come into play.

So, I have been looking over this build I have for my Fire/Rad Sentinel and I feel that...it may need some tweaks in the slotting/IO choices here and there. I love the power choices and I want to keep them but I feel the IO selection could be optimized. I have capped Resistances in several area's (looking at you Toxic) but maybe I can bring the capped ones down a bit and perhaps improve my Defenses or maybe squeak some more damage out of the build. I made a Storm/Elec Sentinel the other day who of course was bird and I knew (and sorry for being TOTALLY unoriginal) I would never be able to name him Storm Eagle. Imagine my surprise to see the green checkmark.
