I am quite sure this has been answered before somewhere but is most likely buried after years, my question is this: If I put a, hypothetically, Luck of the Gambler (Defense/Global Recharge Speed) on a power that I never plan to use directly...will it still confer the bonus even if I never actually click on said power?

Ahh yes, I did see that other build you mentioned...and as for the whole quantum's thing your probably right, I panic I think. Also the WS is not level 50 (48) so there are still holes and of course im poor so me getting the inf. to actually make the build might take some time. Thanks though for the insight, it will be most helpful! I love being a human WS...though I also have dwarf because I dont mind popping the lobster form as much as I hate the squid form...and therefore refuse to use it (my preference mind you) So a duel form is more what I would like to go for but one who stays in human form for the most part and uses the lobster as a "OH F*CK" measure.

I have to wonder if this build is still viable myself, been wanting to dust off my own WS but...something just keeps me from committing and a voice in the back of my head goes "No, you will die to the first mob that sees you, especially if it has a Quantum in it."

I would agree that it could be better. Having it behave like the mastermind pets with the teleportation would be a nice QoL change.

Along with the lack of options for legs, why can't the animal heads have anything on them? I get that THIS option would need new art done up especially with helmets and such but why can't we even have hair? Why is it that almost ever game removes options for animal based characters. The only game that didn't do that was the OTHER super hero game by NCSoft...but that game, despite its EXCELLENT char. creator sucked when it came to actual content sadly. Also, just to add to the growing list...please update the lion's tail. Seriously it looks like a piece of string attached to a tuft...thicken this thing out a bit more please!

Yeah, if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. Plus the purple wasn't even applicable for my build...of course this was also before converters were a thing. The purple was on live...I have never gotten a purple on Homecoming.

I wouldn't be opposed to also upping the inf that they do trickle down to us in missions and such. It always was surprising that the end of mission reward for a full team quest/mission never gave anything that surpassed the 100k influence mark even at level 50...or at least I personally have never seen it. The influence reward is...honestly anemic in my opinion. Not sure if anyone else feels that way but again, thats my opinion.

I have been in those caves as well. Though, my Voltaic kept up with me pretty well. It got stuck once but eventually it got to me. I really don't notice it being TOO horrible really. Again, though if something does happen it's not hard to just re-summon it back. I have the opposite situation to yours with my Mastermind...they do keep getting stuck (bots) but the built in teleport thing they do usually works on BIG open maps. Stair's are their weakness I have noticed. I am not saying your not having issues, far from it. I just am not having the experience you are having with the sparky guy...or maybe it doesn't bother me as much perhaps. It's odd the things we pick up on that don't seem to matter to others or its not a bother to them. Each one experiences the game differently. Take my pet peeve...the AH. Everyone seems to be able to make billions on that damn thing but I can't make a decent amount to save my life. I still have yet to hit 200 mil much less the 500m that I am told is what it takes to make a "great" build. 😞 Also, i have only ever received one purple recipe in my 8+ years of playing. RNG is my bane and I want to murder it with every fiber of my being.

I find it has issues but not nearly as bad as what your making it out to be. If it DOES get stuck then yeah, just cancel and summon a new one is what I do. I like having it around though as it just goes zzzt to baddies and whittles them down a bit. I once was in that "lost city" map with all those portals and the little guy had a bit of a pathing issue but it turned out to be a blessing. It just constantly attacked the portal and I let it go for a bit. When I went to see its progress, it had almost taken the thing out and no villains had spawn from it. I call that a win.

Oh no, I completely understand that new things have to be drawn and all that. However, this is already in the game and the upper part of the legs really do not change from Monstrous to "Normal". Lower portion of course but just adding the briefs to the upper part shouldn't, as far as I know, be too difficult to do.

I never understood why, with such a canvas, they just don't give us some more options. 😛

As the title suggests, why can't we have the briefs option even when we choose tights? This was just something I never understood why it was left out of the choices for that lower body option.

So as the title suggests im sort of torn, my main on live was a Claw/Regen scrapper but honestly I never thought I quite got the hang of him (my alt-itus got the better of me). After returning to homecoming from a LONG hiatus I wanted to give another scrapper a try and Savage really looked good to me since the character is going to be a sort of werewolf. I just don't know which one is more "survivable" or honestly if the pairings have any merit. I look to the community to help me down the long and winding road...i really want to get a scrapper to 50+ as I have never been able to do it before. I do primarily solo (I have no friends that play the game sadly) but I do join teams when I can.

You know I was just looking at some of the newer pool powers and wondered what would be more thematic for a agile robot? Combat Teleport was something I looked at for theme but I don't want to gimp the characters either. Hover blasting I think may be ideal though, but im curious as I have not really given any consideration to the newer pool powers either. Hover would be the safer option though I am thinking but...what do you guys think? Is it viable to get both Combat Teleport, Hover and a Travel power?

Yeah, im thinking Elec mastery as well since it would fit thematically with the char. My biggest hurdle currently...what to name him! 😄 I was actually thinking of doing up a DP/SR as well... My DP/Nin fared...badly.

Oh no worries on Elude, was planning on skipping it anyway as I am not going for PvP at all. I was thinking of going Master Brawler, I don't like having to watch my Mez protection so that's probably the way to go.

So just what the title says, I have played a Beam/Rad toon to 50 (and my only 50 too 😞 ) and I like the beam rifle damage and play style I suppose. SR though is something I'm not to familiar with. Something off topic though, i was going through DA with my Beam/Rad guy and got to the last part of that mission with saving the Sigil and Kabala...I let loose an ionic blast from the incarnate power and.... a half second later I was in the hospital since all the KoV hadn't died and they just mowed me down before I could even think about clicking anything else. Sadness 😞

Yeah, I noticed it was missing the little sparky guy and I do LOVE him on my build right now. I do not want to get rid of him. I figured that I would have to scrap it to be honest and would appreciate a much more updated build. I have some funds but not in the billions of course...i think I have about 180 mill which of course in this game is still "poor".

I don't really have a build. Just some random IO's in places and slots in powers in which I have no idea if there should be slots in those powers.
