Personal Issue with AE and the slower slog of normal content.

You can call BS until your balls turn blue and argue about delivery all day and night if you want to. You just won't be doing it with me. And your assumptions about me compared to other people you have "sen" in forums show that you like to quickly shunt people into 'types' before even knowing what is what. Much like a headless chicken running around the coop. And as an added bonus, since you agree with me at the end of the day, you have no counter argument. Ergo, nothing to add to this conversation. Buh Bye now. -

Why does your experience in the game have to affect how other players choose to play it? Just because YOU couldn't get into your characters, the rest of us have to feel your pain? I don't think I've ever read a more selfish post.- 221 replies

I think the sauce is colder than the heat it's being cooked with. I've made an extra copy of my costumes folder because I did put alot of work and, yes....YES: Creativity into creating my looks and various other looks certain characters may have had over the years. That being said, there are a myriad of ways to tweak certain aspects of your characters for public display. I'm also pretty sure this entire situation will create a subculture where, much like those of my kind in the past, people can gather and show off their actual looks if they so choose without fear of getting 'arrested' so to speak. Theres something very sad about that, but them's be the breaks. Now, alot of people like to immerse themselves in the legalese of the matter, and thats fine I suppose. But thats just too sterile for me. MY main issue with this will be interplayer interaction, nothing more nothing less. I'm a confidant fashionista, so I'm all about tweaks to cleverly bypass whatever it is that is defintive rule of law going forward.

Word on these Paragon streets is that genderswapping is also a thing.

You are under no obligation to explain your actions, how you enjoy the game and how you choose to level to anyone besides, perhaps, the devs. But that is a conversation that will likely take place in private per email or forum or discord. When you engaged this person trying to explain or defend your position, you gave that person an opening. They sensed they had your ear. Unsolicited advice can go either of two ways: You take it and work with it, or you shrug it off and shut down the unwanted flow of information that does nothing to your quality of enjoyment. I had a guy once pm me during a lmbda about how I should learn to play the game because I decided to stop ( after getting 2 boxes of grenades already) and help out another teammate who had a low life bar because they had a mob on them. When I noticed that this fact was a non factor for this idiot, I told him to concentrate on playing the game instead of harrassing me in pm's and fuck off, put him on ignore and went about my business. My time is precious to me, so there is a zero tolerance policy, which I can modify at any point in time as I choose fit, when it comes to other people's brainfart shenanigans. Not today, Satan. Not Today. P.S. You handled yourself quite well though :)

People who usually take it upon themselves to 'speak for everyone else' really only speak for themselves. The grandstanding nature of taking lead in a conversation that is just about a single opinion that is shared by SOME and not ALL is absolutely cringeworthy and serves no other purpose than to satiated ones own ego. When someone has voiced their own opinion that really should be the end of it. Discussion will or will not ensue. But when it's all tiresome rhetoric and childish insinuations in a mutated form every post.....yech. If the rules as such would ever be implemented I know I personally wouldn't mind because I have plenty of 'originals' to dissuade the notion that one cannot have homage characters and be creative simultaneously. Being a fashionista in any game i play, a few alterations here and there, a shrug, and a moving on. If one isnt working for HC or a part of that whole enterprise, proclaiming to 'care about this game' by insulting other players becomes very old, very quickly. Just much much more quickly.

And with all these new posts..i find I still don't care about other people's issues and anal definitions on what constitutes copy or no copy. Meh, this conversation bores me now that I've added my two inf. Have fun guys \o

I just saw a Captain James T. Kirk running around Ap. Shiver me timbers CBS GON GET US NOW! This is, of course not directed towards you, just a general comment on the futility of making posts that serve no one except to say: "I am Annointed, I am Saved. The rest of you heathens are going straight to Homage Hell!!!!!!"

So...stirring up hatred based out of fear? Pompous accusations and demeaning rhetoric towards other players based out of fear? Well......that seems to be the winning ticket these days, I suppose.
-
I agree, and I always compliment a really well done homage toon, just as I would any other original toon should they ever cross my way. Whether its an exact copy or something jushed up a lil extra. Maybe I'm just too old to be worried about things that dont directly interfer with my quality of life.
-
I'm having a very difficult time caring about any of the hatred people decide to spew out about the moral implications of having a homage character, when much of the 'originals' running around either look like they're straight out of WoW, Assassin's Creed etc. Not to mention the horrible color combinations, the pencil thin females with the big boobs, the black characters obviously made by white men because of the overexcessive use of 'chocolate' and 'molasses' in the names, toons running around with names like Gangbang and whatever other demeaning expletive is deemed 'funny af' by whatever infantile mind that SO CREATIVELY came up with this crap. So take your moral high stances and shove it somewhere, because this entire topic seems to always include self serving idiots who, when the shoe is on the other foot, are just as defensive about THEIR rights, and THEIR nonexistent creativity. It's all pixels, and if you define yourself over what kind of character you create maybe you should go outside and breath some air and get lost in the woods.

VidiotMaps for Issue 24 and Beyond

I'm getting this and I am pretty sure I've installed everything correctly. I am wondering if verifying the gamefiles at any given time may have something to do with this?
