Min-maxing? *Quickly hides plans for a battlemech with 7 gauss rifles* I know not of what you speak! (Lies! ALL LIES!) -
Holy crap! That's the first time I've seen my feet in decades!

You're talking to a guy who played in HS as part of the "tabletop gaming" club. Not the "D&D" club. Because THAT was SATANIC! We were also the Chicago playtest group for the Star Fleet Battles Captain's Edition. -

Haven't played VtM since 1E. Loved the initial lore. But the entire thing has become a giant mess over the last thirty years. (CHRIST! Now I feel old...) -

Ah. The old Antec quiet case! Cut my hands up on a bunch of those back in the day...

AFAIK, you can use the APU so long as you're using the interface on the back of the board. -

While it might protect the carpet some. I don't have any problems on mine because I have carpet-friendly casters and I keep them scrupulously clean. The mats always (ALWAYS) get brittle within a year or two and start shattering. I've tried pliable ones. I've tried super-thick, super-big, super hard mats, and pretty much everything in between. They all die horribly. -
Yeah. Noticing that while these screens are GREAT, 27" 4K at 100% (no) magnification results in nearly unreadable text. And I'm less enthused about Windows screen magnification. I have an office remodel at some point in my future. Have to rebuild a wall. So what I may do is build it into a desk area. Recess the wall a smidge. And replace the trio with one big monitor. Maybe a 120hz TV in the 50-70" range running 4 or 8 K.

It's actually how I found a place in LA that actually had my Thermaltake Core X9 case, still new-in-box. Trying to find them ANYWHERE else online is damn near impossible. -
Gonna be a couple weeks before I have my new rig set up. Will be in one of these cases. Case: Thermaltake Core X9 Motherboard: ASRock X570 Taichi Razer Memory: TridentZ Neo DDR4000 (64GB) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5950X CPU Cooler: Alphacool Eisbaer 420mm AIO Drives: 3x M.2 Samsung 980 Pro (1TB) (OS, SQL, VM/Scratch Disk 4x 10TB Western Digital (RAID10) GPU: Recycling my RTX 2060 because new GPUs are essentially UNOBTAININUM right now. And no blue kitty people in sight! Keyboard: unsure at this point. Will probably start with my Logitech G510 and then figure out what I wanna do. Mouse: Recycling my Steel Series Rival 310 Sound: Recycling my Steel Series Arctis 5 to start. Will think more about it later. So the system's going to wind up looking almost identical to my current rig in the end. Though I might affix the carcass of the second case to the first to stack. Then throw my networking equipment in there. Haven't decided. Oh, and notice the way the monitors don't fit flush? Finally decided I'm sick of that. I ordered a new armature system that'll allow me to better position the screens so I don't get that stupid screen jog. Basically my current box lasted 11 years. And I'm only rebuilding now because the motherboard is in a slow death spiral. So I'm building what is PRIMARILY a workstation rig that should still boot behind in CoH (I don't actually game much beyond that anymore).

Hell, an old GTX 780 will do 4 monitors Or were you planning to USE all 4 monitor connections? Or, if you have a spare PCI-E 16 slot, https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-8400-gs-512-p3-1301-kr/p/1FT-001K-002F6 -

You're looking for something like AIDA64. You can buy a cheap little ($100 or less) HDMI screen (usually used for Raspberry Pi stuff. You can then use AIDA to set up the monitors. Here's a couple examples. In the second one, DO NOT use the guy's reference for cheap software. The place he's pointing to is a bulk license abuser. They buy a bulk license, meant for a business, then resell the key until it stops working. -

Like all the equipment that's supposed to come with the ROG board. It came in as an unwrapped open box. Outside of the third M.2, the ROG is a slightly better board. My setup kinda depends on the triple M.2 though. Going OS, SQL, VM/Scratch Disk, as M.2 RAID-0 doesn't really increase throughput or latency, it just speeds disk queue processing. -

EXTREME 0.00001% PROBLEM INCOMING! The board I ordered for my new rig was an ASRock X570 Taichi Razer. $380. Has all the features I require from a board. So I get home today from work and find THIS has come for me. A $560 board! I lucked out right? While it's a nice board it's missing some of the things I require. Not the least of which is Triple M.2 support. So, back it goes! -
Incorrect order. Defense is your primary layer. If the attack doesn't hit, it does NOTHING. You don't have to resist damage or heal or anything. If an attack gets through your Defense, Resistance is your next option. Simply ignore a portion of the damage that's inflicted. Then +Absorb. It gives you a pool of "phantom HP" which come off first, before hitting your real HP. From there, we move on to Heal/Regen

Have it coming. Ryzen 5950X. Unfortunately the deal I used is now sold out.
