  1. I'm glad you've found a personal workaround. There are many. My point is that players shouldn't -have- to come up with these at all, nor sacrifice things like what you've mentioned, in order to enjoy gameplay. I'm not going to pretend I'm able to understand the difficulties involved in implementing a gamewide fix, but I do understand the need for one. Even a rollback until the situation can be properly remedied would be acceptable; although I don't like the idea of taking something away from players who enjoy and have no problem with, either.
  2. Did I miss the part in the patch notes where this was dealt with, or am I to assume that players with this problem will have to cope as best they can by making adjustments to settings that effect more than the newly introduced texture I originally posted about? Don't get me wrong. I'm very thankful for all the work put in by the volunteers that keep the game interesting by adding masses of new content like the stuff that came in today, as well as keeping the game online while facing the technical problems that are constantly arising. The texture in question has a very real effect on game enjoyment for quite a few players, with many experiencing health issues unless they remove themselves from exposure to it. Requiring those with the problem to give up other features of the game in order to compensate for a single effect is not the answer. Adding a playerside "switch" to shut off that one effect is.
  3. Roll up a new character Door sit in fire farms until it's at the security level you want. Spend your 2 billion equipping the new character. Actually PLAY the new character to raise more funds for more equipment.
  4. The message about the pirate AV spawning reads "(person who spawned it)'s BOUNTY" when it should say "BOOTY".
  5. Perhaps as a ranged AT. I don't see a taunter that attacks from a distance as being particularly practical; at least for -my- play style.
  6. Is there anything in options or other settings that will shut off the graphic for whatever those new hexagonal grid bubbles are? See title.
  7. Both have their advantages and drawbacks. Ingame offers you the opportunity to speak with someone you know is active. It is, however, hit and miss in finding a good fit with what your needs are. Forum listings usually offer a description of the type of group/play they're involved in; as well as contact information. Where forum listings tend to fail is in their unpredictability as to whether or not they are still active.
  8. Since being able to see the progression of the Dimensional Warder badge is no longer available through Null the Gull, it would be a good idea to remove the blue text in the popup menu saying that it is.
  9. Thanks! They should probably remove the (blue text) reference to it in Null's popup window, then. 😉
  10. I've only done Infernal so far on the character shown and, while the "unknown" badge does show that I've defeated 1 of the 14 villains required to be awarded said badge, Null does NOT give me the option to see what other villians are required to defeat in order to obtain it; as the accompanying screenshot shows.
  11. In light (!) of the new power sets, I rerolled this ice blaster that had been collecting dust on the Incarnate shelf.
  12. I can understand having a single power "queued" to fire, that won't execute until the animation of the current one is complete, as well as the possibility of a power on autofire waiting as well but, beyond that, I am at a loss as to how one can have "several" powers queued. While clicking a fresh power will override any preclicked power that's waiting to go off, I've never heard of a "higher priority" classification.
  13. Am I to understand that, in your universe, blue mixed with yellow/gold -doesn't- make green? TIL someth!ng new.
  14. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed when ED was introduced, and the subsequent invention system added, as it made the comfortable game I enjoyed unduly complicated and, consequently, less entertaining for me. Do I understand that it was done to nerf the powers of players so that progression would be slower and, therefore, NCSoft was able to draw more income from renewed subscriptions without having to pay Cryptic for actual new content? Of course. Do I use it? Not unless it fits with the character's theme; so, no, not very often. Are my alts among the most powerful in the game? Usually only when posing for a group selfie. Do I love City of Heroes? You Betchya!
