  1. OK, just confirming the SR tank DDR fix. I'm still confused here. My level 28 SR tank looking at combat attributes, without Evasion active: Then the same tank with Evasion turned on: So... why doesn't the listed total change, and why is the listed 64.28% not the sum of the numbers below in either case?
  2. Little one, Blind Makwa's first ward mission arc, part 5: splitting souls "The relationship between Apparition and it's possessed host is what is key to the magic" No apostrophe is used to make 'its' possessive.
  3. Not sure how much there is to read... maybe others see more detail. The power description for targeting drone says:"While in use, any sniper rifle shots you make will do additional damage." If you check the old red tomax city of data it shows sniper rifle as doing 172.67 lethal damage plus 33.52 lethal damage "if range finder mode is active". Targeting drone turns on range finder mode. Basically, targeting drone makes sniper rifle (and ONLY sniper rifle, no other snipes) do 12% more damage. 12% more than base damage, not enhanced damage, though.
  4. Great to hear it's in progress! Did a posi 1 today and one of my teammates had radiation blast-- and in the final battle against "ourselves" of course rolled an immediate lucky (8% chance) hit with neutrino bolt, and another slightly less lucky hit with irradiate-- and very quickly after leading the team into battle my health was in the red as everything had an excellent chance to hit me!
  5. I like it now. I find it very easy to hit a lot of targets, and it does good damage. Wish the DoT was a little more front-loaded but it hits pretty hard and now in crowds it hits a whole lot of targets. I think you'd need to be fighting a horde of something like rikti monkeys to hit the cap of 10, but hitting 6-7 at a time is pretty common. If I'm fighting a boss, obviously I'm not using it. If I'm farming, I use it a lot. With cases in between on a by-case basis. I think it's a useful tool to have in the arsenal now--on a tank.
  6. For non-incarnate level big game hunting with a DM/SR in my experience you need a couple things-- a bit over 45% defense to all (you're highly resistant to defense debuffs but not immune) and enough recharge globally and in the powers to allow a continuous attack chain of smite-siphon life-smite-midnight grasp repeat indefinitely. With some +recovery to make that possible. 7. Are you looking for a levelling build, a build you might run at 50 with a moderate budget, or a final spare-no-expense build?
  8. 5-slotting stamina is odd... I can't think what you could put in that 5th slot in stamina that would possibly help. Three end mod SO/IO's, one performance shifter chance for +end.... what do you have in the last one? On teams, focus on holding aggro rather than doing enough damage to kill. If running solo, try setting your team level to something like -1/4 to maximize your strengths. You're better at fighting a horde of low level targets with icicles and spine burst rather than a few tough targets.
  9. Anyone able to confirm how Evasion's defense debuff resistance works on a tank/scrapper/brute/sentinel/stalker and if anything changes in PvP vs PvE? Also, does anybody know the formula for SR's DDR by level?
  10. Dark/Dark blaster is oddly, IMO, not all that good a pairing. You get the dark blast powers that mostly want you at range for the AoE cones, and the dark armor powers that are mostly melee range. Dark/Dark defender doesn't do quite as much damage but it's an excellent pairing and brings a phenomenal amount of support to a team. Haven't tried the controller D/D but I hear good things.
  11. I took my tank into Siren's Call and checked there and I still did not see any DDR from Evasion.
  12. I think I'd smile enough each and every time that I dropped burn and ice patch together to lean that way.
  13. Cross-Posting here for visibility, Super Reflexes tanks are not getting consistent defense debuff resistance from Evasion, which at lower levels significantly reduces an SR tank's overall DDR and increases the likelihood of defensive cascade failure. Seems from Bill Z Bubba's testing to be a problem unique to tanks.
  14. My tank is only level 23, so I'm still running SOs in my defensive powers-- this build has 3 defense SO's in each toggle, 2 in dodge, 2 in agile, and 1 in lucky. I think my DDR should be at about 75% at this level-- haven't tracked this as I moved up in level but DDR must go up as I level because I won't be adding much defense in my core SR powers. The build I took into DiB is showing 52% DDR and it looks like it should be at 70%. It may or may not have made a difference, but I can certainly say that it was a VERY frustrating DiB watching my tank get smacked around and held to death repeatedly through practiced brawler! I don't ordinarily run multiple builds but I wanted to see how a fairly defensive, team-oriented build might fare that took all the powers to soft cap defense at level 22 would fare in the early TFs.
  15. Should I see defense debuff resistance from Evasion on my SR tank? Paragonwiki says I should, and Mids' says I should, but in-game I don't seem to be seeing it. I had a rather bad cascade failure on a recent Drowning in Blood trial where the shivan monsters had 95% ToHit on me and I was testing an alternate build. Powers / Combat Attributes does not show any DDR from Evasion. Display bug, evasion shouldn't grant DDR, my understanding is wrong, or other bug? Edit-- watching it, evasion shows up but only part of the time. It's not consistently increasing my debuff resistance according to the display.
  16. I don't think it's just people being impatient... usually I could put a bid of 750-1,200 on a piece of yellow salvage and come back the next day to find it filled. Pretty consistently for the previous 6 months at least. But one of my toons has had a bid of 2,500 on a few pieces of yellow salvage (that he doesn't need immediately) for over a week now without getting it. I may have to transfer some inf to that poor guy who doesn't seem to get many good drops...
  17. Bobcat's "Hunt down Shen" mission may be the most insane mission I've played in regular, non-task force content in this game. Not long after entering the mission, you're attacked by a horde of minions. A literal horde--twentysomething minions all at once. They can be one-shot by many of your powers, but they do a fair amount of damage when they hit. They don't give xp, or inspirations. They see through stealth. They follow you down elevators. And there is more than one such horde. When you fight through them to get to the boss, he calls yet another horde of about 20 minions-- and defeating the boss does NOT bring up the exit button, you have to beat all of them or run through them to get out. Is there a mission like this blue or red side that I've missed?
  18. The only thing I've noticed is exceptionally heavily resisted in Praetoria--unusually so-- is psi damage. Seers and Syndicate resist it pretty noticeably. So I'd avoid psionic melee but otherwise I don't think it matters a lot that it's Praetoria. Some s/l resistance but about the usual amount if not less. For the secondary, most damage is s/l, energy, and psi. With a bit of fire, very little cold negative, or toxic. A secondary that doesn't have a significant weakness to s/l, energy, or psi seems best if you're going to do most of the 3 zones.
  19. In the final "go through the rift enclosure" mission from Praetoria when entering the Rogue Isles, Viridian says: First, the title of 'Destined One'. I've put your name into the list that Kalinda has. Not a real difficult thing for me to accomplish, as you may imagine. Being a Destined One within the Rogue Isles will grant you certain priveleges and also a certain air of power. Some in Arachnos will respect you for it, though most will still be willing to bash your head in.
  20. At least IOs brought us decent knockback protection so Acrobatics isn't a requirement anymore. Just one 4 KB level of protection isn't really enough, though. Compare Dark's "armor" toggles to electric, and dark's are a bit cheaper but not as good so probably fair. And electric of course has excellent endurance recovery. Fire's armor toggles are a little more costly and really a little worse-- fire laughs at fire but has a huge psi hole, but fire has Consume. Cloak of Fear is such a monster toggle to run and needs so many slots to be good I haven't had much use for it. If Dark Regeneration wasn't such a huge end cost--I'd even take a little less healing in trade. Maybe get Soul Transfer buffed so that if you use it when not dead that it gives some kind of end recovery? Of course, by level 38 I'm usually getting endurance better handled.
  21. It's a net positive, but just to be clear not all positive. Should be good-- dark melee needs something. It's a useful set as a "toolbox" but when you need to actually kill things, a set that does virtually no AoE damage and (according to the scrapper forum calculations) slightly below average single target damage is disappointing. If you're trying for good single target damage, shadow maul isn't a good attack to have in your chain but as it currently stands it's only one of my DM/SR scrapper's AoE attacks because of limited options when Fire Ball is recharging.
  22. Crow's mission in Neutropolis, "Infiltrate Lambda Sector" includes: "You deactivate the laser tripwires defending the ventillation ducts into the Repair Bay."
  23. Didn't the damage on Shadow Maul go down fairly significantly and the recharge time up? Which is reasonable if it's a real AoE now but the changes aren't ALL good for Shadow Maul.
  24. Energy has no psi defense or resistance, though. I had a StJ/Energy scrapper goldside, and you definitely feel it fighting seers. Willpower looks weak to energy attacks until level 20... which is a bit late, isn't it?
  25. I asked this question recently! I'm in Neutropolis now, and I think that especially if you're planning to run through all or most of Praetoria that a stalker is an excellent choice! Regardless of what you do, you're going to outlevel zones since there's so much content. As a stalker, you can of course stealth a lot of missions, and there are many "click glowie" or "defeat boss / boss & room" missions. Even doing that as much as you want you'll have to turn off xp. My stalker is currently level 18, almost level 19, in Neutropolis, early in the resistance crusader arc. I still have both loyalist arcs to go, so I'll be turning off xp pretty soon. Electric armor has worked very well for me. You get mez protection at 10, which isn't bad. Knockback protection at 16 which is a little annoying but not terrible. And you're strong to electric damage (all the clockwork), good to psi damage (seers) and good to s/l damage (police, syndicate, etc.). No significant holes to the damage types you're likely to face. I went kinetic for my primary since I hadn't tried it before.
