  1. I'm just terrible at xl I guess I don't know what to Do to make the Text string appear. I know how to copy and paste and make a bind I don't know how to make the string appear in the document.
  2. Im Very much looking for an active villian friendly RPSG that either does content too or has a coalition that does. Also I'm quite eccentric with a rather bawdy sense of humor so groups for oddball adults are a better fit than family groups. Most of my characters are vigilantes for teaming purposes but full evil story wise.
  3. Allowing this would be one of the greatest gifts anyone could give me in Cox at all. I don't play stalkers but I do play a lot of support mostly masterminds but my sport said still a huge part of my build. It's really important for us that we get to debuff and mez the guys with the big guns soon as we can.
  4. Back on topic I would really adore a power level
  5. I will start with saying I know MM won't get anywhere near the farming power of the fire brute. I exclusively play MMs. I want to rise to the task and carve out a reasonably efficient farmer. I'm not a fan of Bots but feel free to mention them anyway. In classic CoX I had many 50 MMs before I decided I wanted to work on making money and get drops from solo farming. My best was easily Thugs/Dark. I ran x8 +3 (Sometimes +2 when I didn't want to pay as much attention) I wasn't soft capped on def but I was never really in danger of dying. Usually kept some on big mode sent others to attack target. We have a lot of new tools now. New support power sets, new power pools, and more. I'm not asking for a full mids build but you can post one if it pleases you. Might help others. I was possibly considering Thugs/Cold. Thugs/ Dark might still be the golden standard. Throw your opinions out but please refrain from. "MM can't farm roll a brute." I know we cant farm but some MMs are still going to be better at it than others.
  6. My character backstories don't really fit on the in game ID card. I am making this so those I play with may see them. As a content warning there are some potentially disturbing things mentioned in my character backgrounds but nothing is described in detail. Most of these were view-able in original CoX and if I thought I was violating any rules I wouldn't post here. I just wanted to be extra polite and mention. Backstory One: The Venus Illegitima The abandoned wooden shacks that rotted in the most decrepit area of the port's shanties were shunned even by the beggars. The liquid filth was home to a wide variety of vermin and pests. The few taverns and porters that did business in the area paid no mind to disposing of their trash and refuse among what was left of the buildings. Some people however had no choice but to live in them. As much as the homeless needed the charity of others they were quick to take from each other if they could. One man and woman could not exist among the other people. They were both blind and deaf or nearly so. On their own they could find foul sustenance among what others discarded and in the insects that nested. They stayed hidden to avoid being victimized. The one time they knew they had to find another was when the female was ready to give birth. It was no happy occasion to have another mouth to feed, and yet the pair were too fearful of others to allow their child in any one else's hands. Unlike his parents the child was quite canny and in full possession of his visual and auditory senses. His screams went unheard as pests and vermin crawled over and bit at him inside the lightless box in which he existed. He crawled in filth, excrement, and squalor. His first words were things said to beg of others. He would often to go the other parts of town to prostrate himself before others hoping to evoke enough sympathy to acquire from strangers what he could not from his parents. Earp had been what his parents called him. It wasn't even so much a name as it was a sound that was easy for them to make. He was a cute baby that despite being underfed grew into a beautiful boy a pediastric relationship with a rich became his salvation. Being the sexual pet of a rich old man could hardly be considered a good thing, but the warped feelings were the closest thing the unfortunate boy would ever have to being cared for. In his patrons household he became a sponge for knowledge. He was given an education, find clothes, and enough food to never be hungry. In gratitude he shared his body with his mentor. Earp even became friends with his masters children and was often paraded at gatherings for his unconventional wit and exotic beauty. Years of contentment, if not happiness, passed until foreign troubles called his patron away. The mistress of the house would not let him stay anywhere on the property and so Earp went back to the streets and stayed once more in the light less squalor his parents did. In his extreme depression he didn't even see the diseased condition his parents flesh was in. He contracted their leprosy and his beautiful body and face putrefied. In time he was forced to a leper colony. His face and genitals withered, ruptured and blackened. The only parts of him that anyone had ever valued, was destroyed before his eyes. His bitterness and loss made him welcome death. He exhaled his last labored breath alone and unwanted; full of hatred for all of creation. After his death the wailing spirit of the boy was taken by Tartarus, who gave him the name Alloces. He existed as a curiosity and bound slave. It took centuries but eventually the unthinkable happened: Tartarus was killed. With unrestricted access to the gods vault Alloces learned a great deal of magic, and even greater were his powers of biomanipulation. His short life taught him that beauty mattered above all and crafted for himself an uneartly beautiful androgynous body made from the most beautiful women in the world, all murdered by him to make himself even more beautiful. Now thousands of women have died and with each his body becomes a little better even on a sub cellular level. He also uses his fleshcrafting to create great monsters to serve him. He has no trouble using or hurting anyone because in his mind they would all abandon him to rot away again if he were not the fairest of them all.
  7. I adore redside. I played it exclusively for years before CoX got shut down. I don't like hero side much. Villain side is done much better. Unfortunately I'm playing almosy only blue now because red side has a serious population issue and I enjoy teaming.
  8. That sounds like a good idea . If I can't make it look good just post the information that can be imported into mids. I know about the defense soft cap and why it's a good thing and how it works. What I don't understand is why I should care. What am I going to do with my 95% Dodge rate Against even level enemies That would be worth getting rid of something for?
  9. I know it's a little old but well reading this topic I was thinking unemploy'd heroes and vigilantes seem to be doing mostly volunteer work and shaping the world to be what they believe better. I play exclusively villains. And it amuses me that this question of what do they do when they're not doing their super villainy would never come up because super villains "job" is what they do with their superpowers. Not all of them put them to the most efficient use as many mad scientists could certainly sell their super serums to Medical research to counter muscular diseases and make plenty of money off that. However their way of supporting themselves is almost always wrapped in to the whole thing of what they are accomplishing with their villainy. So the amount of superheroes living a normal life somewhere under a different identity is much greater then villains doing the same.
  10. Im totally lost, how do I import this into my game. I have a file I store my binds in. What do I type to load it. What buttons actually do the cycling? Im really trying to just find a set that will cycle through bosses and elite bosses whatever the type that is being fought. This more advanced set sounds useful but im even more lost with it.
  11. Is there a reverse type group of villains that are based in Paragon city? I don't like being a hero but I do like getting parties.
  12. That looked even worse at first. Again if you know what format to make it look like everyone elses please tell me
  13. I will star with saying I am a HUGE fan of frankenslotting on an MM especially the main pets. Im most cases i'd rather get the most out of the pet or power then get better set passives from the set bonuses. I also don't feel too inclined to softcap my defense. I play mostly in groups and am not often in the line of fire. For incarnate things in my experience I still need a resistance for staying power often other Def and resist buffs are present anyway. I am mostly looking for any obvious mistakes that could be made a lot better. Affordable improved alternatives to sets in non pet slots for instance. I do mostly group content but like to be versatile and appreciate utility that makes my general gameplay easier (like Long Distance Teleport). I'm a big fan of hover. I take it on every character and always find myself appreciative of it. Things I'm already seeing. - I dont think, even with all those toggles that I need to six slot stamina. The set doesn't even look hat amazing, and I'm a cold dom. Similar for taking victory rush, probably a wasted slot. If I could I'd be interested in hasten, or Aid other. The latter less for clutch heals on party members and more for patching up my own demons between groups and fight phases. Having to resummon takes a lot of time and endurance. Soul storm would be nice since it would let me stack holds with my pet and my choice of Alpha Incarnate increases holds but it would require me to take not just it but another power to quality for it. Teleport Team is my answer to if my minions are clogging up a tunnel. Im no where near max level yet but the few times I used it it confused the team even if it fixed out bottleneck issue. 14. Virtue was a huge part of my life. I played almost exclusively master minds and they were always 1 of 3 different characters with 1/4 character occasionly showing up. I was known to be an extreme oddball. My pets would sometimes shout things like "All genitalia will be confiscated!" - I hope to find some of my old friends. - My Handle was @Pale_enchantress - My characters included a male mutant vampire bee queen That wanted to lay his eggs inside of people so that they would hatch and eat into their brain and become one of his children. All his children called him mother everyone else could call him your majesty. He most often went by: -Agrat Bat Mahlaht- I also had a very angelic looking man who was driven insane by his own immortality and so he kept animating his dead lovers as zombies not realizing how tortured they were or how crazy he was. You could often see him making Out with his necromancy pets and flirting with Mad Blood Morgan . His name was Na'Amah but most used character name was: - Seraph of Decay.- Then there was my beloved effeminate and beautiful master of Vicissitudes character real name Alloces. Most known handle: -Venus Illegitima-
  15. We stayed in touch for many years after city of heroes was 1st shut down, But an error with Skype on my end made me lose all contact with Them. They meant a lot to me I would really love to see them again if anybody knows of them at all.
  16. Hello thank you for taking a moment to read my request. First, I would like to make a macro or bind that cycles through boss level enemies for targeting purposes. It is very difficult to find them to debuff or control them in large battles. Secondly I would like to make a macro that targets a downed ally and uses a specific ability on them. I remember in the past I was never able to figure these things out even though I knew some general macroing. Right now I could also use a Link to a guide That gives a simple macro tutorial. I forgot even the simplest things. Those 2 things stand out as things that I don't remember ever being covered though so if you could help me with them specifically that would be great. Now I also have a couple mechanical questions. The 1st involves enhancements for slow affects on powers. Do they increase the duration of the slow or the amount of slow applied and if there's a re charge component does it also slow that 1 more because I don't see any recharge debuff enhancements. On a similar note is it worth enhancing a slow? If The slow cap is 60% and most slows apply at least 50% if it's rarely resisted I can understand that it wouldn't be very useful to slot. The tear 5 power in the medicine pool. I know you can activate it to boost your healing power it also says it prevents getting interrupted while using the other medicine pool powers. The wording is a little ambiguous though as if Removing the interruption Mechanic is an Always on passive effect in addition to the active effect or if it only applies While that powers activated. In rescue or kidnap missions do the people following you still lose you if you have one of the Aoe stealth And resistance auras up like darkness falls? Do sentinels have the same damage coefficients for their primary that blasters do? If not how much does their damage compared to blasters and corruptors? I ask this not looking to play one but looking to know about the Archetype So I know what priority to give it when I am handing out single target buffs with long cool downs. Where can I find a list of buff and D buff caps? For things like recharge and damage how many builds even get close Enough to the cap that I should take it into consideration when handing out buffs. I know a little bit more about damage than I do about recharge. I'm not exactly sure who Can use more recharge the best. In some games people get very into a set rotation of ability's and increasing how fast their abilities cooldown would change nothing for them. Other characters and builds in certain games they could never get enough. Finally I am pretty much a devoted master mind I want to check if I slot endurance reduction and cool down reduction into one of my primary henchmen powers does it still only affect the indurance cost of my summoning them and the cooldown of my summoning them and not affect their abilities at all? Thank you.
