Gave my $50 for the great HC team that brought this wonderful game back to life.

I would like to see a 1870's style Winchester rifle added to the costume creator weapon choices for the Assault Rifle powerset.

Tanks and Brutes like to gather the mobs close in for their pbaoe's and threat generation. Targeted AoE powers want the mobs tightly packed for maximum effect. Things like Geyser, Fulcrum Shift, and such get max effect from tightly packed mobs.

I think only certain doors, cave entrances, sewer entrances, and such are flagged as potential mission entry points. Having done tons of PI radio missions I have noticed there are only a couple dozen or so of entry points and I see the same ones coming up many times. There are many more that are just part of the "scenery" but are not used for missions.

Homecoming is a small private group who brought back this game for the love of it. You play for free on the best of the reborn CoH servers. They ask for donations to cover their operating costs and make no profit from this. They are working with NcSoft to try to become fully "legitimate", and we should be grateful that NcSoft is letting this happen. We, the CoH lovers, are eternally grateful for this. We should not be "looking the gift horse in the mouth" and bugging them for more content. Appreciate what we have.

I found this Homecoming thing in September of 2019 and I have been playing nothing else since. Didn't realize how much I really missed this game over the last 7 years since the original shut down.

Hasten?

That's one thing about CoH that I have appreciated over the years, both in the original game and this Homecoming one. It is extremely rare to encounter any rude, condescending, elitist, or otherwise anti-social players in this game. Almost everyone is courteous to each other and friendly. And if some "jerk-head" does show up in a chat channel, he is quickly put in his place by the rest of the population. Let's all keep it that way. If you want a toxic social environment, go play WoW.

A secondary power does about 80% of what it would do as a primary. If a blaster power, for example, does 100 points damage, as a secondary power it would do 80 points damage.

Win 7 will not suddenly just quit working this coming January. It will work after that just the same as it does now, for years to come. It's just that MS will no longer be doing any updates to it. They will still release security patches for any serious vulnerabilities that get discovered after that. If you like Win 7 and/or hate Win 10 just keep using Win 7 as long as you can do the things you want to do. It will work in the future the same way it does now.

Way back in the original game, they (the game producer) held a contest, after the Council had taken down the 5th Column, for what to display on the theater marquees around the city. What is there now: Rise of the Council: The Broken Column Starring: Fractured Dawn Refers to the Council taking down the 5th column and was the winning entry. And Fractured Dawn was the character name that submitted the winning entry. Just a bit of historical info explaining why you see that in the game.

While official Microsoft support for Win 7 ends next year, the program itself will not suddenly stop working. It will work next year, and for years to come, exactly as it does now. And any "critical" security issues will still get patches even after the "official" support ends. I am running Win 7 and plan to do so as long as it will do what I need. I hate Win 10.
