That's funny: I ran mostly Redside with alts. on Triumph and Victory too. Maybe we teamed a few times on Live back then?
Wow! Well surely we must've at some point! I have tens of thousands of screenshots that I could do a search for character names. The retail version of the game automatically filled in all your teammates' names as a file attribute (how I wish HC had done that!), so it's easy enough to search the file properties for character names.

I took it as something vaguely 'formal' (as in "What would you wear to the opera?"), for which I like the bolero/skirt combo, though I really wish there were good long skirts/gowns. But I imagine one could interpret as a character in an opera as well.
She looks grand! I love that combo too, and also wish for a longer gown option pretty often!

I have the spots memorized, all the bookcases and urns and whatnot. Back in the day I would escort people from spot to spot to collect all 12, or is it 13. This will be fun!
Did anyone else notice that we completely forgot to do this badge run? 😄

Imperious Task Force - Royalty costume theme
Any ATSaturday, 4/22/2023
For this ITF, we had 6 players sign up with a nice mix of ATs.
Recruiting led to a 7th, a blaster named Tyndaris Rex
The teeny tiny controller with a tragic past, Althea Gaia by @TrixieKixx
The enraged yet somehow still beautiful brute, Amentia Antiqua, by @Burnt Umber (great story!)
A theme team favorite, the lovely Princess Grace by @FrauleinMental
The up-and-coming scrapper with a brilliant story and costume from @Bananiac, Prince Elija Motombe
Icy brute, Queen Antarctica, by @Midnyte dinged 50 during ITF today!
Aye, matey! @Jaxman100 brought Captain Jax who surely must have some royal blood in him!
Tyndaris Rex, a recruit from the LFG channel

Hi All! I had a little extra time today, so went ahead and put together our themes for May so you can prepare! Let me know if you see anything awry 😄
5/6 – Lord Recluse (Level 45-50; Red Side: Grandville) – Soulless - Dark Powered AT's only (just one powerset needs to be Dark) plus your darkest costume
5/13 – Citadel (Level 25-30; Blue Side: Talos Island) – Musically Inclined - Costume inspired by a genre of music, character of choice must have one of their powers be Sonic
5/20 – Lady Grey (Level 45-50; Purple: Rikti War Zone) – Fashion Show - Put together your bizarre interpretation of something that might be seen at a fashion show! Any AT
5/27 – Manticore (Level 30-35; Blue Side: Brickstown) – Corporate World…dress to impress Hopkins and Countess Crey! Any AT
Uh oh.... I was waiting for this day. Sonic powerset! haha, j/k. Trixie, these look like so much fun! Thank you. 🙂 I hope @TygerDarkstorm can join us for the fashion theme!

Apr 22 - Imperious (Level 35-50; Purple: Cimerora) Any AT - All Royalty (are you a King, Queen, Prince, or Princess?)
Sign me up for Queen Antarctica - Ice/Ice Brute
Also, if anyone is interested in the history badge, Midnighter Archivist, I know where the 12 easter eggs are in the Midnighter Club, so it could be a post-theme activity.

Aww...you guys are awful sweet. I will continue to learn because I love the game so much. I'm appreciative of the things I learn from these forums, as well as the friendly people, including you guys 🙂
We love you too ☺️ And I can't wait to meet you in real life!
3 hours ago, TrixieKixx said:Ban, I'm amazed you had all your slots in use! That's an incredible amount of toons!
I am thinking we could only have 12 slots per server back then? I remember painstakingly deleting characters to make more room. It's one of the reasons that Rich and I used 4 servers. We had villains on Victory and Triumph, while our hero servers were Champion and...... er, uh.... drawing a blank right now. Guardian maybe.
3 hours ago, TrixieKixx said:I really love coming up with themes, and also using ones that you guys come up with too. Speaking of, does anyone have anything they're dying to do? I know I need to put together something for May soon! How is it almost May?
Hell if I know! Crazy how fast time goes the older we get. I'll check my list and let you know if there's anything I have an idea about. Actually there's a mission that I get stuck on for every character, so I have a few that can't solo it. Would love some help! I think the contact is Number Six. If there's any interest in helping me with those, I'll look it up and provide more info.

I thought the one in Steel was only for the Montague Castanella missions! I know it's a Midnighter's Club, but when I tried to go through to Cimerora from there on Friday for an ITF, it didn't have the portal. Or, at least, I couldn't find it. And, I had no clue about the one through Croatoa...or maybe I slightly remember back from live? I seriously thought the only way was through Founders Falls! I'll have to investigate again the next time I'm in game 😄 Thanks, @Bananiac!
BTW, I know I'm not knowledgeable on the game. I think I'll stop answering questions 😄 I played for 5 years on live; however, my friends never talked about procs, IO's, etc. and the best way to play each style. Back then, I mostly played support AT's because that's what we needed in our Super Group, and it's what I've loved to play. However, as we know, most toons are so built out now that support toons are not as needed.
I wanted to branch out to other types of toons, and I've relied on other people's builds for the longest time because I don't know the best builds for AT's I've never played before. I learn from them when I play and tweak based on what I like/don't like. For example, I used to put 3 spots in Heal and 4 in Stamina to deal with health and end issues, I got made fun of in the game (Help channel) because I asked about the best IO's to put in for maximum health/end. I'm just here to have fun, and may be wrong about a lot of things! I have been trying to learn more; however, numbers are really not my thing.
Trixie, I understand your need for the qualifiers, but I assure you there is no need! It is regrettable that conflict arises sometimes on various topics, but the main point is that you arrange these events based on known information. And that's really all that matters. Nobody here is an "expert" in a professional sense. We are all guided by prior experience and ideas we learn about from others. It's all good! You are doing great as our event leader! We wouldn't be here without you. 😍

There is of course a Midnighters in Steel, next to the University at the usual spot.
Croatoa University has one as well.
Redside I only know and use the one in Cap.
And, just for the record, the Midnight Mansion in Night Ward is where you go for the fast badge, but for some unknown reason that one does not have a Cimerora Portal 😑
Ah, OK then! I thought I have entered through there before, but years ago. Cap is also the only one I know of in a villain zone. I think it's the only zone with a university area.
Right, the mansion in Night Ward is good for the "fast badge" which means "instant entry" 😄- 1

Thanks for always keeping me honest! I'll update in my spreadsheet so it's correct the next time.
I liked Battrix.
BTW, @TygerDarkstorm, you'll be happy to know I added a second build on my dragon for team play 🙂 I did an ITF with her a few minutes ago and she rocked. I took all the Thermal Radiation powers except for Melt Armor. She'll be a better team player for next time; however, I also still have my solo build! It will be expensive to outfit two builds, but I can do it if I play her enough.
All right, 2 votes for Battrix, I am liking it too. Thanks!
re: Cimerora.... it jumped out at me immediately because I'm so familiar with entering from the Midnighter Club in Cap. I wouldn't even know how to get there in a hero zone! Oh wait, is it like Cap where it's next to the university? So that would be south Steel. See, I remember some things! 😄
So glad you are learning about having 2 builds! Back in the day it was popular for VEATs so that a soldier could switch between crab and bane, and likewise, fortunatas/night widows. I honestly have never made the effort to do it, except those times where I made a second build with all the travel pools to get the ski run badges!

Hmm, "Buttress" -> "Bat-tress" works I think? I'm a bit poor on puns/word play though. I wish you luck on the dark/dark sentinel: I bounced off the one I made for a theme team a while back so I'd be interested on your thoughts on how it works.
Yes, I sort of named her Flying Battress as a joke/pun, but you got it right. Just a one-time thing, though, because I have no affinity for the concept of a character named after flying buttresses. 😄 Do you mean that you deleted yours, or you still have it? If so, what level? The endurance drain was awful while leveling but now that I can play with set bonuses it's getting better. Also, during the SF today I got my Destiny slot to 90% so slotting Ageless is my main goal!

Today's Silver Mantis was really fun. I'm so glad I respecced my dark/dark sentinel. She is one of my oldest characters on Homecoming and I've never given her a really good build yet. I think she is comfortable as a bat/dragon so I'll keep this persona. She started out as Midnyte Wytch, which was my beloved warlock in WoW, which I was fresh from playing when this game came back. What do you think of the name Flying Battress? I thought it was a clever play on words, but maybe just for today. When I changed her to a bat, I named her Battress. Chatting with Rich recently, he told me he heard "mattress" in his head 😆, so I decided on Battrix instead. But I still like Battress, but maybe with an E? Battresse. Opinions, please!
So glad we're doing an ITF together next week! I don't believe the theme team has ever done one together, or am I forgetting? Also, I wanted to point out that you put blue side but Cimerora is a co-op zone. I love the royalty theme! This will be fun. I don't yet know who I'm bringing, but sign me up for now as TBD. Thanks for all your hard work keeping us going, Trixie!

Silver Mantis SF - All Ranged Powersets - in dragon costumes!
Saturday, April 15, 2023
Somehow it's always more fun when the theme has both requirements... powers/AT and costumes. 🥰
Cryomania, a sparkling diamond of a blaster by @FrauleinMental
Marsh Madness, a green dragon blaster of loveliness by @TygerDarkstorm
@TrixieKixx's powerful corruptor, Rhaegel
Flying Battress, sentinel by @Midnyte. Is she a bat? Or a dragon?
Chauliodus Abyssus, a sea dragon corruptor by @BurntUmber
@Bananiac's controller dragon, Zapphire Ray
I just love Cloak of Fear! It's like you scare the hell out of them without casting any power, they're just scared to be so close to you!
Awesome sapphire-colored crystal containment
Lots of Mad-Marshy water-splashing goodness
We systematically took down enough of Duray's defenses that he finally revealed himself to us
Flying Battress "took one for the team" by going inside to look for Duray (didn't find him in there anyway)
He was lured into the ship where we could fight him on solid ground
Success!

It was really rough - very reminiscent of back on Live when this TF was first being run. Our team might have been a bit low on damage, and I didn't realize that Blue Patches spawned for pets an players alike. But, really, I think we ran into two major mistakes that made it very hard if not impossible to complete: 1. we didn't stop to re-gather and tackle the AV anew instead of trickling in one at a time to get melted; and 2. We spread out too much, rather than stick together as a team, so patches were everywhere and there was no place for us all to go.
Thanks for these tidbits. You are right that for #1 we should have been more patient and planned better to regroup all at once instead of like you said trickling in. Note to self for next time!
For #2, that would be quite the maneuvering feat if we could combine jumping away from the blue patches while simultaneously trying to stay with our teammates! I basically just go back and forth between casting on attack and then skittering to the left or right and watching for blue, never mind what my teammates are doing lol. I'm going to try to be more aware of that for next time though.
And yeah, those pet-produced multiplied blue patches were rough!

Apex/Tin Mage II TF - Mad Scientist theme - Any AT
Saturday, 4/8/2023
We gathered today in Rikti War Zone to attempt a double whammy, endearingly known as TinPex. Apex initially assembled a team of control/pet types with relatively low damage. We should have informed him it would not go well. 😆 oof!
Darkest Winter was on the scene, in a spiffy costume by @TrixieKixx. Complete with pulsating, glowing eyes and frosty breath. Love those boots!
@TygerDarkstorm's creation, Dr. Elaina Wrath, a controller with a captivating story.
Oui! A French mad scientist controller, Le Filou by @Bananiac
@FrauleinMental's escaped robot, Project Isabelle, very cleverly created her own bots!
@Burnt Umber's Animus Raptus demonstrates just how wrong things can go when science projects are rushed, especially when involving corpses!
A Polish science geek with Dr. Aeon as a mentor, Dr. Buchinsky is a sentinel by @Midnyte (just don't ask the doctor about those Muntz alloy plates implanted in her face)
The whole group, ready to take a shot at Apex's Task Force
Two by two, patches of blue ...
And so it goes...
We knew when to re-group and start over, sans Ban, who had to leave for a little while
Success!
Tin Mage Mark II was not too happy that Umber had to leave, but allowed us to continue because Le Filou re-joined us, with @Jaxman100 as an added bonus as Tendo

Every time we killed a GM during the event, it offered a toy bat power. I think the league needs a certain amount of people to spawn the GM. We did not get a GM on Saturday with our small team. I think the only day that you automatically got the bat is if you logged in on Saturday. According to a rumor I heard, they are leaving the event on through tomorrow. I don't know if that means it runs through the EOD tomorrow or if it will be turned off tomorrow.
BTW, I wound up getting to my 3rd vet level and all incarnates unlocked with today's event in Excelsior! It was so much fun! We went from Talos, to St. Martial, to Steel Canyon, and last but not least, Skyway City. I started at level 47.
Wow, that's a lotta levels! Fun fun fun. 🙂
I was on a league fighting a GM but I guess the invasion ended before we defeated him.
btw, I just realized I haven't signed up with a mad scientist yet. I will definitely be there, but still pending a character. I have 2 mad scientists but neither are 50 yet. So, I'm still figuring it out. 😄- 1

I didn't have time to check for backstories last week, so if anyone wrote a theme-specific story about their fruit pie, please send it to me and I will edit your photo to include it. That actually holds true for every week. I am sure I've been missing some good stories lately.

Wow! Awesome! I went looking for it around 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time and I guess it was turned off by then. I had planned to log on several more characters for that toy bat. 😪

Positron 1 & 2 - Fruit Pie costumes - All Blasters!
Saturday, 4/1/2023
Here we have Empanada Cereza, a newly rolled rad/plant blaster costumed as the cherry tart that she is! by @FrauleinMental
@Burnt Umber's energy/martial arts blaster sparked a chat about what exactly a Brambleberry Pie might be, and it appears that ironically he also happens to be a π enthusiast! (I adore these back thorns)
This glistening lime creation by @Bananiac is a beam rifle/atomic blaster, Sci-Fi Lime Pie. (Did we ever find out why his buff pet is named Disco Ball? 🙂)
@Midnyte rolled a new blaster, water/ice, for this theme, and turned her into a luscious swirly Blueberry Cheesecake
@TrixieKixx's new fire/plant blaster perfectly represented a spicy Cinnamon Apple pie
@Tsoo Much's blaster is dark/atomic and the very personification of a Tsooberry Muffin. Love that berry head!
As we each arrived at the statue in Steel Canyon, we were greeted with an unanticipated invasion! Valkyrie & Posi were hard at work fending off the mapserver anomalies, so of course we had to join in before beginning the task force.
And then it was time for posing and receiving our orders from Posi
A pie-fectly fun day was had by all!
