  1. He says that to the Aryan dude after he uses the circular saw to lure him into position for an ambush (on the floor of the building where all of the construction supplies are being temporarily stored. "Drop it, dickhead. It's the police." The first thing he says to Hans is, "Oh, I'm very sorry, Hans, I didn't get that message. Maybe you shoulda put it on the bulletin board.", when Hans grabs the radio and says, "I thought I told all of you I wanted radio silence" after hearing the radio broadcast signal *kssshhhhhhhhk*. That's just after McClane "waxed" Marco and Tony and used one of t. He says, "Hi there" when he and Hans have their first face to face meeting (Hans is checking the C4 on the underside of the roof, hops down and encounters McClane holding a machine gun in his face). Hans dissembles, adopting a "California accent", and momentarily convinces McClane that he's one of the hostages.

  3. Big Damn Hero - replacement for the Spelunker badge, for rescuing the fortune teller. She's a witch, but she's your witch. No-one Makes It On Their First Try - attempt to jump from one skyscraper to another, fail miserably. What a Wonderful Smell You've Discovered - spend 100 hours in sewer missions. It's All In The Wrist - replace your origin power with the natural origin power Throwing Knives. Institutionalized - hear Morgan Freeman narrating everything when you're playing. Walternate/Fauxlivia - run every mission and arc involving alternate realities. Only Mostly Dead - respawn at the hospital 100 times. Take This Under Advisement, Jerkweed - deliberately set off explosives in a building. How Hard Can It Be? - hilariously screw up while attempting something impressive but completely out of your bailiwick. They're Comin' Outta The Walls, Man! - trigger 100 ambushes. It's Bigger On The Inside - make a base. If You Ain't Cops, You're Little People - retire all clones, doppelgangers, replicants or other copies of your character, in the entire game. Saved Ferris - spend 100 hours in missions after mission completion. I Can Do This All Day - finish a fight with no endurance and 1% health. Anál Nathrach - use special costume toggles to deceive foes in 100 missions. Spared No Expense - play to 50, spend all merits and inf* on best-in-slot IOs and sets, complete all T4 Incarnates, and finally accept that the concept was horribly flawed from the outset. You've Got Me, Who's Got You? - rescue 100 hostages. Where's Francis? - go on a rampage.

  5. Shotguns can fire 1 ounce slugs up to 1200'. Expected distance before dropping below acceptable velocity for a clean kill, about 300'. Buckshot can be accurate and lethal up to 75'. Of course, varying the grain count and the weight of the slug/balls, the shape of the slug, the wadding for the balls, or using a sabot can significantly affect the trajectory, range and muzzle velocity, including allowing for farther shots, greater precision and more force retained by the round over a longer distance, but that's custom work, typically by enthusiasts who make their own ammunition. Factory-produced slugs and buckshot shells will conform to the above specifications.
  6. Succubi. One of the newly added Crey lieutenants/bosses.
  7. Still have that on Legionette.
  8. Testing right now on my Ice/Stone brute, level 17, the status and debuff protections remain active when I go to the top of a high building and leap off (takes several seconds to reach the ground). Going to check with a P2W flight power, hold tight. Hanging out high overhead in AP with a Jingle Jet, Rooted's buffs remain active. Been up for over a minute, combat attribs all show no change.
  9. As long as it included an option to disable it on a per account basis, I'd support this. We're not all running dual <insert latest/greatest GPU>, and hitting single-digit framerates is pathetically typical already when we encounter something Nemesis Jaegers who crap out ten clouds of Fuck You and The Framerate You Rode In With at the same time.
  10. That's mine. You can have it, though.
  11. No, the Page 3 beta... and I've been confusing the amplifiers with the XP buffs. I apologize, everyone, my brain is mush at this point. I was supposed to mulch some fruit trees, but the mulch turned out to be mostly red clay and gravel. Then I had to stock up on firewood, as I won't have time to do that again until next Thursday. I'm pooped. You folks figure out where those buffs came from, I'm going to eat some ibuprofen and go to bed.
  12. Don't give him your finger, you fool! YOU KNOW WHERE HE PUTS THOSE! *squick*
  13. I understand how the separate components function. There's a problem with how the damage component is functioning, though. No hit rolls being displayed for the powers with both Sleep and damage. Other attacks, such as Frost Breath and Bitter Ice Blast, display hit rolls. The powers with Sleep are still making internal hit checks for the damage component, but they're not passing those checks along. So no Miss messages are generated. Technically, even with the new 100% Sleep chance, attacks which miss should NOT Sleep the targets. That's fucky. This is a bug. Two bugs caused by one bug. Sleeps hitting when the attacks miss, and no hit rolls or Miss messages generated.
  14. All set IO prices would increase. Converters would allow invested players to turn undesirable IOs into desirable ones, thereby reducing the total supply of those in order to maintain a healthier supply of desirable IOs. As the supply of undesirable IOs dwindled, the prices would, consequently, rise considerably. Those increased prices would feed into increased prices for the desirable IOs. There would be a ceiling, as merits would ensure that nothing went beyond a certain price, but the net effect would be a gradual trend of most IOs settling into a price similarity structure, with things like Nightmare IOs and Snipe set IOs being significantly closer to the price of LotG +Recharge IOs. The "best" IOs, the ones which guarantee conversion to rares with a single converter, would be closest to the high value IOs, but the spread we see today, with some crafted IOs selling for 100,000 inf* or less and others selling for 8,000,000 or more, would be drastically narrowed, and those 8,000,000+ IOs would be far, far more expensive. It's a simple supply:demand structure. If you dump 10,000 brand new level 50s on the game in a single day, you're going to increase demand for enhancements by a similar amount, and if those 50s were all created without leveling, without acquiring drops, without accumulating inf*, without any means of self-sufficiency in slotting, the supply will correspondingly decrease as the demand spikes. In short, bad shit happens and inflation goes through the heliosphere.
  15. I have a target tesseract. CAN'T HIT THAT WITH THOSE KNUCKLE SPOONS! *spatulawhack*
  16. I'll fight you both. BRING IT! *grabs spatula*
  17. Interesting. Postulation: they were added when the P2W 2x XP buff was being locked at 2,500,000/hr for all levels, and someone forgot to remove them when the P2W buff was reset to scale by level.
  18. Do you mean Experienced? If so, that's been popping out of packs since... Page 2, I think? I remember noticing them when everyone received 5x Experienced (was that New Year?), and using them to keep a character in patrol XP for several levels.
  19. Something's fucky with damage-dealing powers which Sleep. Using Chilling Ray and Frozen Aura on my Ice/Willpower sentinel, I'm seeing the Sleep activate, but no damage dealt and no Miss message. I don't know if I'm missing and the Sleep is auto-hitting, or if I'm hitting but the damage is bugged. I don't like not knowing what's happening when I'm up to my ears in things trying to feast on my liver.
  20. Test server files are stored in a different directory from the live game files. The two directories don't interact. You have a test server directory set up somewhere. Locate it and manually copy the files over.
  21. The developer quote used as a "/jranger without saying /jranger" was taken out of context. In context, @Faultline was responding to a request to make entire zones levelless. That quote, and I suspect the intent of it, doesn't apply to this suggestion, or in this context. Mysterious Gifts aren't zones. Winter Horde don't inhabit entire zones. This suggestion has a level of specificity which isn't addressed in @Faultline's post. He said they're not going to apply levelless code across the board. This is specific. One type of spawn, one category of critters, one method of spawning those critters. There's also no code argument to apply here. @Faultline states, in that very quote, that one of the methods of applying the flag is by spawn point. The spawn point is already defined as the Mysterious Gift, there's no digging, no untangling, no unnecessary drama to making the change. Flag the SpawnDef, done. If anything, it's an unintended argument for the suggestion, not against it, because it's already been stated to be possible. Entire zones is a no-go, but specific spawns during special events is already done with Nemesis, Rikti and Halloween critters, so Winter Horde are an exception to the norm. They can do it, and there's plenty of reason for them to do it. But it's up to them. I just brought it up, they have to decide whether it's worth their time.
  22. When does the fake game start? I think one of my cats just horked on a fly. Looks like her game started when I wasn't looking.
  23. The right costume. The right name. Concept which fits and feeds into both. Feels good in combat (not necessarily devastating or untouchable, but capable, consistent and always in motion). Fluid attack chain. Legionette, my main (Staff/Willpower brute), isn't exceptional in appearance or performance. But she is exactly the Wonder Woman type of character I always wanted to play, but couldn't or didn't for various reasons. Willpower suits the concept I had so perfectly that I'd have suspected that it was designed specifically to meet my needs, if I had a towering ego. And I really do like the Staff attacks. I don't care if they aren't ZOMGSODAMAGEZ, I like them. Titanea, my Shield/Elec tank, might be a played out cliché for some, but I have a lot of fun playing her. She's big, burly and bad-ass, and the dual teleport AoE attacks are rather delightful to fire off. Winter's Grasp, my Ice/Willpower sentinel, was the surprise. I expected to finish the character and move on to the next alt. Instead, she's picked up more badges than Legionette, she's yellowing those Flashback missions and I'm still engaged when I'm playing her. I thought that would be my Archery/Energy sentinel, but here I am, plugging along with Winter's Grasp while the other one slowly gathers dust. I didn't pick my cats, they picked me. I didn't pick my favorite characters, they picked me.
