Do you mean Sovereign? I don't know him personally, but he's leader of one of if not the largest and most active SGs on Excelsior. Sovereign members are always hosting Hami raids, iTrials, TFs, MSRs, all sorts of content. I've been on several runs they've organized and they all seem like a good bunch of people. Not sure why you'd be calling anyone an idiot for that. I'm surprised this thread hasn't been closed already. What happened to being excellent to each other?

New Dawn's Paragon AT is pretty sweet!
Excraft replied to Captain Fabulous's topic in General Discussion
I think most people would agree and are the same. I'd probably give this a try just to do it but I think it would get boring after a while. Would be fantastic for concept characters though. I don't think it would destroy the game as some people here are suggesting. Incarnates, IOs and such have already done that anyway. -
I disagree with the notion that Spider-Man is a stalker 100% of the time. Can he be "stalkerish" some of the time? Sure. Is he that 100% of the time? Absolutely not. Even your own examples show this. If you watch the film, Iron Man exclaims "underoos!" before Spider-Man leaps in. In the pic you posted of him attacking Sam and Bucky, Bucky asks Sam "What the hell is that?" they both saw Spider-Man coming for them. That isn't a stalker using stealth to approach and attack a target who doesn't even know they're there. Same thing with your examples of Spider-Man "sneaking up and cracking jokes" to alert the bad guys of his presence. He did that in the photo you posted of him with Sandman. If he really wanted to, he could've taken out Sandman without him ever knowing he was even there. He didn't. That's not really being a stalker in the CoH sense. Again, can Spider-Man use stealth and attack an unsuspecting target? Sure, but so can other heroes and there are plenty of examples of this throughout comics history. You're welcome to continue being of the opinion that Spider-Man is a pure stalker 100% of the time, but I will respectfully disagree because he quite clearly isn't. I don't think it's such a bad idea to have a different version of a "Super Strength" type power set. There are varying degrees of strength and the current version we have is (at least to me) more geared for a Hulk-type rage monster character. There are characters who aren't quite that strong, but are still at super levels of strength and their strength isn't necessarily tied to their rage/anger level. I also don't see a reason why a new set would need to be exclusive to Scrappers and not be able to be ported to over to Tankers and Brutes. I think it would a good thing to have some different flavors of super strength to accentuate less "super strong" characters.
-
Actually, yes it does refute your statement. Why else would Iron Man build and use an armor designed specifically for stealth? Yes, Spider-Man does creep around some of the time. Other times he attacks head on, just like many other characters. They'll all use stealth when the situation calls for it and its advantageous.
-
As do any number of other superheroes in the comics. Even Iron Man has a "stealth armor" variant.
-
I don't know if I'd say Spider-Man "sneaks around". He's more super quick and agile with his reflexes so fast they border on precognition.
-
It isn't and I didn't say it was. What I corrected was the assertion that Spider-Man is at the "high-end" of the super strength scale. He isn't. He never was. I provided examples of character who are at the high-end of the strength scale for clarity.
-
Yup. Spider-Man isn't at the high end of the strength scale. He's never lifted skyscrapers by one corner or held entire planets together.
-
Good for them. If they want to disregard decades of lore that have Bruce Wayne traveling around the world learning and mastering many different martial arts, more power to them.
-
The official Marvel website says differently. So does my Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe from the 1980s. All of these characters are subject to the whim of the writers, some of whom way overpower certain characters, such as Wolverine. In general, Spider-Man has been at the 10 ton range for decades. He's not on the same level as Hulk or Thor.
-
Batman is more of a martial artist than a street justice type character.
-
Well no, it clearly says "Spider-Man’s strength and agility stand far above those of the average human, allowing him to lift nearly 10 tons". Note the word "nearly". Source.
-
A minor nitpick - no, Spider-Man is most definitely not on the "high end" of super strength levels. Marvel puts him at maxing out in the 10 ton range. That's putting him in the same strength range as Beast. That's not even anywhere remotely close to characters like the Hulk, Thor, Hyperion, Sentry or Gladiator who are at the high-end of the scale. Totally agree Spider-Man is a scrapper though.
-
What is or isn't "reckless" is highly subjective to the individual though. Those players are reckless according to how you see it. Others may see it entirely different. People offering a different perspective and disagreeing with your idea and pointing out issues with it isn't being "rude asf", regardless if its a serious idea or not. The suggestions forum is for discussion by everyone and not everyone has the same point of view. As @lemming pointed out above, there are already tools to address this at the global level. 1 star the person and add notes if you feel they're behaving poorly. You can even put them on global ignore.

What exactly are the "good" badges? Farming to 50 isn't an indication of anything, just as leveling the "traditional" isn't an indication of anything. There are a literal ton of players who have never set foot in AE that have hundreds of Vet levels and still don't know what they're doing. For all anyone knows, that fresh 50 right out of a PD fire farm is the 100th alt of an experience Vet who is going to kit the character out and then go back and run content.
-
I don't think incentivizing bad behavior for a badge is a good idea. I agree, it penalizes people if they don't want to stay on badly run teams.

trolling Make Hamidon immune to being made intangible
Excraft replied to Laucianna's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
100% support instanced Hamidon raids. Also fully support the offending player(s) doing this to have their accounts banned permanently. No excuse for this kind of behavior. All of these powers that are used to grief others should be addressed in my opinion. Removal from the game would be preferable, but that's just my take. I'm sure others will disagree and that's perfectly fine. -
Amen.

Maybe they're just posting photos to provide inspiration and ideas? Such as the claw-like gauntlets, hair styles and body suits? One would think looking at a piece of romanesque chest armor, it would indicate the desire for chest armor pieces...
-
I really like these two. The first one has some very cool gauntlet ideas that would go well with Claws set. I like the idea of more traditional cultural armor designs too. The hairstyle is nice too. The second one is very cool too. I'd like to see more light armor - techno suits. You could draw a lot of ideas from these. Who'd have thought people would add photos of interesting costumes to a thread about costume requests to provide inspiration for the people creating costumes for the game? 🙄
-
I don't think this is what you're saying, but would you mind clarifying your position here? It sounds like you're suggesting it's only melee players who have a problem with knockback and can be interpreted that since it's only melee players, they don't matter.
-
Nothing. If you believe a few people in this thread, those other players playing sets without KB already have higher DPS, so the toggle would be bringing KB powers and sets up to par.
-
I disagree. EB works fine as a primary set. Perhaps if you are finding it to be sub-par, it may be due to build choices? I don't know your build, so I can't say. I think EB works fine with a good build just like any other set. Again, I don't know your build, but if the one and only proc you're adding is from Forced Feedback, that could be part of your performance problem. ^100% this.
-
I suspect you're entirely wrong there. I'd love a version of Energy Blast without the annoying knockback or a toggle to switch KB to KD and/or less KB in general in the game.

Rebirth Has a Nice Thing - Maybe We Ought To Have It Too
Excraft replied to TWSLives's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Good point, although if this works the way it looks like it does, you may be able to enter the RGB color values for consistency. If not, they're still displayed there so you could do an exact match.
