Based on this wide profile what I wish a new Slow set looked like was very different from traditional sets. For the non-damage powers, something like this, where the bonuses repeat themselves:

    • Recharge/Slow
    • Recharge/Slow
    • Accuracy/Slow
    • Accuracy/Slow
    • End Redux/Slow
    • End Redux/Slow

    Totals of a L50 set: Slow: 159% — Recharge: 53% — Accuracy: 53% — End Redux: 53%

You raised a good point about the diversity in slow powers themselves. But you're going overkill on Slow there. Also, I don't think the game's code for IOs would be able to differentiate which Rech/Slow you had slotted, and might not allow you to place two different ones. You could also do something like this:

    • Rech/Slow

    • Acc/Slow
    • End Red/Slow
    • Rech/End/Slow
    • Acc/Rech/End
    • Chance for Cold or Psi Damage

    Totals of a L50 set: Slow: 100.7% — Recharge: 68.6% — Accuracy: 47.7% — End Redux: 68.6%

You don't really lose anything in slow (because ED) and you get more recharge and endurance reduction out of it. Negligible loss in accuracy bonus, and a damage proc. I chose Cold or Psi because they fit the debuff theme of slow.

The bonuses from the set would probably have to be a little on the smaller/moderate side considering the enhancement values being equivalent to 8 slotting the power.

  2. I can appreciate trying to keep the buffs from being game breaking, but keeping them so low that they provide no observable difference in play seems just as pointless as VET leveling past 100. And trying to find the right balance in between is probably going to be too difficult to measure. And if further Incarnate abilities are ever developed, then those buffs would have to be looked at again.

What about tying recipe drops to VET levels after 100. So at level 103, you get a rare drop. 106, 109, 112...., same chance for rare. Maybe make every 30th level a Very Rare drop. Or an ATO drop?

What situations exist where it needs to be "Toggled Off"?

I don't play MMs, so I have no clue. I'm just aware that some use it for their ranged pets. It's pretty niche, I know, but still worth considering when touching Group Fly.

Not that I'm against the change. I'm just trying to make sure I understand the suggestion and whether or not it could negatively impact that play style.

If it were a click power with a 3 minute duration it would be a Buff.

Right Click the buff in your bar. Choose Cancel. No more flight.

I'm going to claim ignorance here. Does that still have the same ease of play as being able to toggle Group Fly on and off for a MM and his/her pets?

Easy answer to Group Fly? Make it into a click. Costs of fairly decent amount, grants 3 minutes of full speed flight. Recharges in 2 minutes.

Maybe even give it a power grant with a separate action bar of a dive bomb attack. Give the dive bomb a 45 second recharge but otherwise make it burst of speed with minimal damage but a big knockdown effect.

The problem with that is not being able to turn off group fly when you don't need it. And even if you had it work like a Hybrid power, you'd then be left with waiting for it to recharge when you need it. I could see MM players who use it with their pets getting pretty upset by the change.

    TELEPORTATION

1 - Combine Teleport Foe and Recall Friend into a single power, much like how Injection and Enflame can target both allies and enemies with different effects.

2 - Give the powerset a 'Jaunt' like teleport that has a faster animation and no slow/hover effect when used.

I could see combining Teleport Foe/Recall Friend. But instead of Jaunt, I might be more interested in a TP attack power.

    SPEED

1 - Replace Whirlwind with a power that is almost identical to Burst of Speed from Martial Combat, allowing for short range damaging Teleport power with multiple uses before recharge.

2 - grant Super Speed a defense bonus, and while in combat the functionality of 'Whirlwind' would activate.

SS having a defense bonus doesn't make a lot of sense since its speed is suppressed in combat. Also, keeping SS toggled during combat is a bit of an end drain. What about replacing one of it's powers with a "Combat Jumping" adjacent ability? Say, a +run speed ability that grants a CJ level def bonus, and also has a strong resist to slow. If CJ can provide Immobilize protection, having a Speed pool power that resist Slows makes a lot of sense.

    LEAPING

1 - Merge Combat Jumping and Acrobatics into one power

2 - Add a new power that works like Jump Jet and Steam Jump that also grants a jump speed bonus.

CJ+Acrobatics would be a bit strong, and a lot of people like CJ for the in combat mobility and low endurance cost. Balancing the end cost to combine the two could be a loss for a lot of players.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's no need to disparage cannabis like that.

What about a Statesman from an alternate timeline. I like the idea of the "original" staying dead, but having a slightly different one brought in through a compelling storyline. Could be a fun Incarnate level arc.

My current plan with this project is to get it to the point where it can be used as a fully functioning online build browser and viewer (where you can search for and view public builds) and release it as such.

This would be awesome! It would be great to have a tool like this available for when we seek build advice on the forums. Especially if we're not in a place where we could pull up Mids to export those builds for posts.

That all being said... I'm of a torn mind about this. On the one hand this looks awesome and I hope it gives people what they need, on the other... I feel like I just wasted a shit ton of my time on nothing. Ugh. I think I'll stop working on mine now.

I know the feeling. I finished creating hi-res versions of all the AT power sets and decided to take a little break. Now I'm back and there's a new power set being developed and now they have a new power icon border to do, and I still haven't gotten to EATs/VEATs or pool powers. Ugh!

That being said, I would see turning off Safeguard/Robbery Missions from the Radio/Newspaper menu (could be done a variety of ways: Null the Gull, Options toggle, Hero Corps/Villain Notoriety contact option, etc.) as a possible Quality of Life improvement.

    That's a great idea! +1

  9. I'd be all for it if there was a tertiary difficulty setting we could use to select seeing them in missions. So on top of level and team size options, have a third setting for say, I don't know, Vanilla vs Elite? Want mixed groups in your Radio/Paper missions? Go Elite!

    +1

More exceptional work Rylas, I particularly like what you did with the Savage Melee icons.

Also updated prior posting as I am through a 1st pass on text for all the Melee sets now.

Corrected the names of the powers. As for the slight white edging on the icons, I'm not sure what to tell you. The png's are created on clear backgrounds, so there shouldn't even be white showing up on the edges at all. Perhaps it's a setting when creating the png files, but I don't know which setting is creating the issue. 😞

    Hi Rylas,

This is absolutely amazing! Thanks for all this! I just found this thread today so maybe I missed it, but did you happen to include travel power icons (i.e. flight, super speed, super jump, teleport, etc) anywhere? Or will you be able to add them soon? Thanks!

The plan is to get to pool powers and epic pool powers after primary and secondary sets (and that goes for epic ATs too) . But as mentioned, if you have a request for an icon(s), go ahead and place it here and I'll get those taken care off. I'm much more interested in getting ones made that people want or need ahead of just going through the list.

@Rylas Um I am almost all the way through the blast sets above but I was just looking for mislabeling, typos

and other text stuff however I just noticed that under Fire Blast you have the "4 white corners" on the Aim icon.

It isn't on the other prior Aim powers and it isn't on the Wiki, is there some reason for them to be on Fire?

I wasn't even thinking to check if the symbols match the powers and such but perhaps I should do

another pass looking through the sets at a later date and check for any semiotic discrepancies?

Yes, please! Any kind of error is one I want to know about. When making lots of icons over and over, little mishaps like those are bound to happen. I'll get that border changed out as soon as I can. Thanks!!

Are you willing to make high resolution versions of the generic icons?

Maybe? I might consider doing something along the lines of what @Hopestar mentioned previously and make a PSD file that would allow people to make their own icons. Have all the borders and iconography set up on one file. The user could just hide/reveal the necessary layers and color them as needed. If I do, it'll be after I complete all the power icons.
