  1. Althought you've just kinda inspired me, maybe she could be in her secret mage-mode that nobody ever sees , . ?!
  2. Pretty unique! The character creater old faces are pretty haggard, and she's actually quite pleasant, while still showing signs of age.
  3. Eh, turns out what you found was contact only, I was looking to throw her in a mission map. Ah well.
  4. And the flexibility to join other groups, pick up new members etc without being restricted to TF style arc running would help, too.
  5. That's awesome news, and I understand your plight, Not under Midnighters I take it?
  6. Pardon me if this is already a well-known glitch, but I gave my Sentinel an Epic Pool Power of Ninja Tool Mastery and Sting of the Wasp, and nothing dlsplayed for the sword indicated by the choice of power. She is a gun-centric character, so perhaps the one weapon choice overrides the other.
  7. It doesn't rain in CoH/CoV, does it? Why the heck not??? (I guess it would make it kind of inexplicable that all the contacts are just standing around in bad weather, but like, they also never go home and sleep)
  8. I can see how the AT Respec idea could be exploited. I wonder at what point people will tire of proving they can farm to 50 in an afternoon. How many 50's do you need before that loses it's edge? At the very least, having to acquire a tip and run a trial means a player would have to explore the world outside AE though! The origin-mob idea is kinda similar to the quantum spawns that hunt khelds. It could probably use a similar mechanic to determine when it happens.
  9. 2nd accounts and AE arcs are an OK placeholder for this. I have a lot of characters who have sidekicks and rivals, and sometimes I just wanna see 'em on the same screen. It's kinda nice to log on at a low-traffic time and have your alt-account set to follow (flight works best to clear obstacles) and auto-heal and run leadership. I've also made AE arcs to highlight certain events in my characters timelines, but you can't really expect anyone in AE to use it the way it was intended, now can you?
  10. Hi, me again, Mr. Imagineer. I also think it would be pretty nifty to see continued expansion into the customization of MM pets! Most of them I think would benefit greatly by opening up color tinting. -Mercs, Ninjas and thugs could have a basic 2-tone outfit color change, plus a skin tone option. -Demons and zombies could have a basic color tint. Imagine pink and purple demons! Oh man the possibilities! -Robot MMs might benefit from the most retooling. It would be REALLY COOL if we could choose from an assortment of robot types matching some of the in-game styles. Maybe we could choose the classic sprocket-t Clockwork types, or have Praetorian clockwork pets, and of course to current boxy bots, plus an ability to color tint! I may have forgotten some of the other MM types (oh yeah, like Beastmaster), but you get the idea. It would be great to be able to customize each MM's pets to match their own motif, and I'm encouraged that this team might actually consider this with the recent option to switch Phantom Army visuals. I am excited for the FUTURE of this game!!!
  11. It would be neat if you could speak to a contact in Ouro to lock yourself in to any level that you've already surpassed. You would exemplar down and earn whatever experience you would when exemplaring as usual, but your level would be locked, allowing you to speak to contacts and work through story arcs as a level-appropriate character would. I imagine it would be wise to implement a cooldown period (12-24 hours realtime maybe?) to discourage abuse of the system (although who am I kidding? This community doesn't have any objection to switching alignments with Null the Gull before you can even receive alignment tips!). I honestly wonder why this hadn't been a part of Ouroboros all along.
  12. I remember in articles and interviews about the games development, the creative team originally imagined that character origins would play a greater role, and they would up essentially being utterly irrelevant. I've got a couple ideas I would love to see implemented as the HC team ventures into more of their own additions to the game. 1) origin-based mob spawns in appropriate missions - you could be working your way through any arc or maybe radio or tip missions, and in addition to the regular stuff on the map, an extra group shows up specifically to hunt your character, determined by your origin. If you're magic it might be CoT or Pantheon, if you're Natural it might be Council or Malta, tech could be Nemesis or Clockwork, Science could be Crey, Mutation could be the Lost, etc. Maybe this would require creating new radio or tip missions, maybe it could just be a new feature. Whatever works best. and it could even tie in to. . . 2) AT respecs! - Ever get a whole bunch of levels on a character only to realize you'd rather completely remake them? This could be a specialized respec which allows you to re-pick your primary and secondary ability sets! Your AT would not change but your powersets would! I imagine there being 5 origin based respec trials, themed around breaking down the source of your characters power-type. Magic would prove themselves to some powerful entity, Natural might defeat some combat master, etc etc. And at the end, characters of the matching origin would receive an AT Respec allowing them to re-choose their power sets. Other origins could help but might only receive a badge to show they have an advanced understanding of another source of power, maybe an accolade for doing all 5. It could require running 5 origin-tip missions to unlock, maybe, and maybe it should be restricted to characters 25+ so they'd have to know what they were giving up before the re-roll. I WOULD LOVE TO HELP WITH THE WRITING OF THESE MISSIONS, btw. It may never happen, but I figure there's a better chance if I put the idea out into the world!
  13. I had a friend on Liberty named Kermode who made a lasting impact on me. He had a very DGAF playstyle. Defeats and debt meant nothing to him. He didn't exactly play well with others, but he got along with most of the folks in my SG (Healer's Union) pretty well when we happened to team up with them. If that dude's still around/back I'd love to catch up and destroy things again. I was and am again @SpooktheHerd mostly playing on Torchbear.
  14. In the merit vendor, under controller enhancements there is an entire set whose names appear to have been replaced by a generic file numbering system. The set is Overpowering Presence. All the information is still there the listing just looks wonky. I wouldn't be surprise if whatever made the change to this set also affected more but this is the one I found so it's all I've got to report. I used the in-game reporting but was pointed to this thread.
  15. So I wanted to throw Stephanie Peebles into a mission as an easter egg NPC, but was not able to find her in the default NPC's. My next option was to try and recreate her, but it seems like every single thing about her is custom and locked off, Her face is nicer than any of the available older faces, her shirt is different from any other costume piece I could find. Even her hair seemed to evade me. Currently I have an NPC placeholder who I've recolored to sort of resemble Peebles but that's as good as I get. I guess I'm just hoping somebody will say "what are you talking about? she's listed under ______" I got nothin'
  16. I've been daydreaming lately of what it might be like if the player had an option to forego the Ancillary and Patron power pools and instead simply receive 4 extra levels-worth of enhancement slotting. On the approach to level 50, most builds are already loaded with powers, with Incarnate abilities on the horizon. It might be nice to take a break from acquiring powers and 6-slot the ones we already have to beef them up to their full potential. That, and way back in a long forgotten dream, I used to take the fitness power set in a time before it became inherent. While it was great that they became inherent, it also meant that your enhancement slots were going to be split with 4 additional powers, and in current builds, I find myself neglecting the fitness skills in favor of all these daggone things I have to click on that I never wanted in my tray to begin with. Obviously, a player who would chose to opt out of Epic pools should be able to do so on a per-build basis. It could be neat if there was a contact you had to go to who would send you on a mission to learn the skills of focusing on your already-learned abilities, and afterward you could train and respec with them in order to access the revised leveling. I wonder if that would be possible without breaking leveling across the whole game. Anywho, that's been on my mind lately.
  17. Bumping due to increased relevance! I hear the HC team is cracking down on copyright infringing player owned characters! Why not blow off some steam with the most meta AE arc around!? Crack down on the infringements within an infringement! Layers upon layers, man!
  18. A few simple questions: I am looking for a map to use which might feature the steps in front of the coin in King's Row. Is there and AE map for that? WHY NOT?! I was also hoping to include War Witch as an NPC, but did not find her under the Freedom Phalanx. I guess not every trainer/signature character is available? Or is there another category to find them? OH AND I THOUGHT the "everyone on the map speaks all at once" glitch was fixed, but as of my first playtest this morning that was not the case. Any suggestions to delay the speaking of these lines? Maybe just avoid all idle comments??? Maybe more questions as I progress through the arc I'm writing.
  19. My #1 wish for AE is for basic fighting fighting abilities to create basic enemies and thugs that aren't fully super-powered, like the so-named "Fighting" power pool abilities but with the addition of a basic pistol or handgun power. Are these skills included somewhere and I just don't know where to look? After that, I'm looking forward to the eventual (hopefully) inclusion of the premium power sets (most notably absent is water blast) for AE enemies. Last I knew these were available for players but not NPC's. I e-mailed with one of the Dev's and they said it was likely coming (the rest of the power sets) but I haven't followed up to see if they've implemented them yet. Also would be great if we could tick a box to make certain NPC's use Beast Run by default!!! This could be where the flight option is. It would help greatly to distinguish a character's well... character. Hidden costume pieces unlocked! I posted a threat about wanting to make custom Trolls. AFAIK they're faces/heads are hidden. Best we can do is green skin and an angry face, but no horn-lumps! I'm sure there are other similar pieces which are hidden. If I am mistaken and we already do have any of these things, PLEASE let me know! Otherwise, what are YOUR wish list items for AE NPC's???
  20. Hey True Believers! Stanley has asked you to take the fight to a group of Infringers patrolling the streets dressed as HIS creations and serve them a cease and desist! It is wise to go up against these Mighty Infringers in a small group, as some of them have powers that rival the Gods themselves (EB and AV's)! Arc ID 3696 Contains uniquely made costumes by the author. 4 missions Mission 1 - Defeat all signature heroes TIP: Some of them may be hiding between the war wall and the buildings. It's annoying but placement on an outdoor map is randomized. Mission 2 - Defeat all reserve members in their training facility Mission 3 - Defeat the most powerful Infringers! Mission 4 - The True Boss revealed! Defeat the boss and his cronies before they destroy existence itself!
  21. Is it possible to recreate Trolls using Costume Creator? I ask because I'd like to create a unique family of Trolls, and also have a mission using Trolls with no level cap. It seems like the horned skull that trolls have is unique and hidden, as far as I can tell.
  22. Hi, I may not have enough information on this, but so far any time I have been in a team with First Ward/Night Ward missions, my game crashes when I attempt to load the mission map. It first happened several weeks ago when the game was still fresh, and I thought OK I'll give it time, but last night I was in a group with a mission from the Trinity contact (no idea who the previous one was) and it crashed again. The first one was at a door, last night was at a portal, so the specific location seems to make no difference. On a side note, I was able to load a mission map from a Night Ward contact when I was SOLO, but in a team, still crashed. Thanks for any help you can provide on this!
