It's either 4 or 12 that you want.

I've seen my times referenced a few times. I just do those as a control. That data is for me, but I obviously share it. Also why my times are AVERAGES. Some of the faster times shared by others are NOT averages. The DB/BIO time shared above? That is definitely not an average and I've gotten multiple runs that low and even lower. I actually toss those times out for my averages. Did I mention my times are averages? 😄 @Sanguinesun brings up some really good points. Example: Mynx is going to be an absolute joke and Diabolique is going to be extremely annoying (protip...don't chase. Just wait.) Dominatrix is only going to get tickled. Some sets are going to be a lot easier, some trickier, and some are flat out garbage. But you won't need an uber DPS primary. I solo-ed all the TFs in the game with a DM/BIO. Yea, not great DPS but it is a really fun set to me. And yes, it has some neat tools, I didn't have any of those in the build. I say this to highlight you won't need crazy DPS.

I really enjoy fisting things.

Stone Melee. Good question. Going to edit that for clarity. For scraps? I enjoy it a lot. It feels pretty darn chonky and has fun soft CC. It was the first primary I used to solo 1* Aeon. You can edit the power looks to not do the hammers if you want. I changed it so it's all fisting.

No taunt aura with this set. Yes, it does good damage. Really good actually, but if things are running you aren't doing damage to them. I have put a lot of time in to this set. I just can't do sets without taunt auras. If a lack of taunt aura isn't a bother, then yea. I'd absolutely go with this set. @Lazarus My personal opinion is Rad Melee is actually a very good melee set. I just wouldn't use it for AV hunting. It has OK single target DPS (better than Dark Melee...by a lot actually). Really good AOE. There really aren't a lot of sets (primaries or secondaries) I personally view as bad. Unless it's Staff or Regen. Then they're bad. Fire Melee got significantly buffed. It is easily top tier ST DPS now. If you enjoy the set then you are going to get a lot of performance out of it. If you go this route you will definitely not be holding yourself back performance wise. Basically, you can't go wrong with any of these primaries if you want. The difference is so slight that you won't care as long as you are enjoying it. And these personal #s can all go back-forth with each other with RNG or latency. *RoF is Ring of Fire and Char is...Char.

Do not do Rad Melee, Electrical, Ice, Kinetic, Dark, or Staff. Pick a secondary with a taunt aura. AVs will run. That's bad for DPS. Pretty much any other primary is good for this. I can't say anything good or negative about Psi since I haven't done a deep dive on it. Same with Savage. Fire Armor with it's added damage is a smart choice for deleting things, but it is SQUISHY as all get out and has no taunt aura. You will try to strategically res with an awaken, a lot, while your target is running around if you pick Fire Armor. I will insist that you choose a secondary with a taunt aura if you are solo AV hunting. Out of the armors that have a taunt aura and help do good damage, you are going to have Bio and Rad in that order for damage. Now Bio is not as tough as Rad, but if you allow yourself insp and temps, that won't matter much. Bio is going to do gobs of damage. Rad/Fire seems like a recipe to make a runner nightmare. It sounds amazing for AOE on paper, and I'm sure it is, but if something is out of your DPS range then you are doing zero DPS. And no taunt aura makes things run away from damage. Go see what I mean with Rommy in the ITF. If you attack him without a taunt aura he will do his Usain Bolt impression and run all over the map. Have fun re-doing all the damage you just lost because the runner AV regenned all it's lost HP when running all over the place.

*squints eyes* Yes. You pretty much picked one of the worst primaries to Scrap with. Only Staff is worse.

This is the combo I do for my Sith. So, I'm biased on my preference for this one 😛 @StriderIV and @SeraphimKensai seem to have good thinky things too.

It's a good combo, and my fav iteration of Energy TBH. I've done EM with Bio, Shield, ENA, and Stone. Rad is my fav. I've got Rad Therapy procced out for AOE. It's actually pretty good AOE damage and it comes pretty early on. I actually slapped two -TOHIT debuffs and +5ed them in Beta Decay, but Mid's still doesn't show BD taking those enhancements for some reason.
-
This is why my ST chain on MA is EC - SK - CAK - SK - (Epic Pool Attack) I want to make sure I fit in SK and CAK in that window. It works....well. Very well. According to Mid's, you can do a CAK before DT and still get the crit buff from EC. If not, I'd do SK instead. You need to activate the power during the buff so it can roll the crit check. The entire power doesn't need to finish it's animation during that time.
-
Would be a LOL-tastic way of really hurting a boss and hurting the mob around it. I think it would be a long enough window to EC - CAK - DT. That would really hurt a boss. Like, a lot. Cause you can put a Achille's -RES in CAK too, so it would take another 20% damage if it procs.
-
I'm a taunt aura whore, so I got to go with Shield. I actually have done MA/NIN but had to re-roll cause of runners. I solo. A lot.
-
Shin, BU (and BU gaussian proc go off), EC crit, ATO2 activates, Dragon's Tail crit. Profit.
-
Eagle's Claws https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=scrapper_melee.martial_arts.eagles_claw&at=scrapper It gives a 33% increased chance to crit for the next MARTIAL ART's attacks in a 2s window. So if you slap the scrapper ATO2 in that attack, and it activates, you now have a 83% chance to crit for your next MA attack. If you can fit another attack in that window...lol. You can bump that up to 86% with the ATO1 somewhere. Enjoy!
-
Definitely agree on this. And you can get pretty close to scrapper HP cap with just your build and a few accolades. You can do this 6 slotting True Grit and slapping the preventive maintenance set in there. Slap the power transfer chance to heal proc in stamina, panacea and numina in health, and you'll be doing pretty good health wise for sure.

Just want to say HELL YEAH at DB/ENA for your sith. Mine is also. As for build advice? Vengeful Slice doing a SHORYUKEN with a sword is awesome looking as all get out, but it isn't exactly the most effective (for my playstyle at least). Something to note. ENA DOES have a taunt aura, but it is noticeably weaker then other sets that have one. You can get runners. Something to think about. Vorpal Judgement. Just seems to thematically go with a force user to me. Ion...actually that does too. Nice call. FORCE LIGHTNING RARR

This post is for real? I seriously thought this was a troll.

1. This got fixed on Live. Doesn't apply any more unless that bug snuck back in. 2. Try it. You can actually make DM viable AOE. 3. What. I'm familiar with SD.
-
It focuses your energy.
-
Pretty good. Other sets do the AOE thing a lot better, but EM has a pretty good feel for it. And it does really good ST DPS.
-
I'm guessing this is a brain washing joke. At least that's how I took it. I would have went with something crayon related.

Out of the secondaries in your OP, Rad and EA have a taunt aura. EA's is fairly weak, but it is there. Don't discount Inv (it has a taunt aura), and Inv is a pretty darn good secondary. Pretty easy to res cap S/L with inv, and get to HP cap with just activating Dull Pain. Also, not sure if Shield is an option too, but it also has a taunt aura. Slotting gets VERY tight with SD though. Or can be depending on how you build/play. But out of the ones in your OP that have a taunt aura, I personally would give the vote towards EA or Rad. Both are VERY sturdy. Your preference there would be on your playstyle for sure. Rad is a resist based set and EA a defense one. I've personally been able to get more DPS out of Rad then EA, but EA definitely has more wiggle room build wise. But I have, and very much enjoy, my BA/RAD. *if you go Rad, you most likely won't consider taking Ground Zero. It really is superfluous AOE at that point. BA already has a LOT of AOE just baked in to it's attacks. I personally only use three attacks in BA for ST stuff. Mileage may vary. Also, Bio Armor has a Taunt:

Average of 5+ runs. Hyrbid off. No temps. Scrapper SM/BIO 1:06 (Degen/Melt Armor/Enflame/Proc) Scrapper BA/BIO 1:10 (Degen/Melt Armor/Enflame/Proc) Seismic Smash is just wild. Battle Axe definitely got a big glow up with it's recent pass. You don't even need to spec for AOE and it poops out a lot of it.
